He hadn’t worn a tie before. Ele não tinha usado uma gravata antes.

PRESENT PERFECT: (significado igual a ter + particípio passado, ou igual a já, alguma vez
nunca, ainda não, sempre + pretérito perfeito do português, ou presente do indicativo + desde,
há do português)
