STUDY VISIT ACTIVITIES- 10TH CLASS, 2023

REPORT ON VISITING ACTIVITIES AT THE UNIVERSIDADE PEDAGÓGICA

On the second of October of the year two thousand and twenty-three, from ten to twelve o’clock, our
10th grade class from Escola da Comunidade Mahometana visited the Universidade Pedagógica, also
known as UP, in the hope of obtaining some new knowledge.

Director Pedro, Teacher Soraya, Teacher Emerson, Teacher Cumbi and Teacher Bamboo, respectively the
head and deputy heads, gave initiatives in the activities with attendance control brief guidance on the
task and role of each person of our class.

We were welcomed by two professors and a department head from UP, where the first professor named
Vasco taught about Didactics-Mathematics and the second professor named Elísio who taught about
Ethno-Mathematics.

The central activity was the visit, in which our class had the opportunity to join the Laboratório do Ensino
de Matemática, also known as LEM where the students learned notions of Ethno-Mathematics, Didactics-
Mathematics and Applied Geometry. It was an excellent experience being present at LEM belonging to
UP.

There was a question and answer session, in which we were able to clarify doubts about the class given
and what the future of education will be like.

Now we will report positive and negative aspects of the visit in a table.

In short, the students’ visit to up was very informative and enlightening. We were impressed by the
university’s infrastructure and the dedication of its professors. The information obtained during the visit
will be valuable in making future decisions related to our higher education. We would also like to thank
the UP for welcoming us in a warm and informative manner.
