TheinitialideaofMolamodelemergedduringthepostgraduateprograminarchitecture,whenthementorofthisprojectwas
concernedabouttheabstractapproachtothetopicsrelatedtostructure.
Thechallengewastocreatesomethingthatcoulddemonstrate,inatactileandvisualway,thebehaviorofarchitecturalstructures
definitelyakeyknowledgeforeveryengineerandarchitect,especiallyatthedesignstageofanyproject.

Producingthemodelonacommercialscalewouldrequireahighinvestment,mainlyduetospecifictoolsinvolvedin
manufacturingthepieces.ThedecisiontolaunchthiscampaignhereinCatarsecomesasaresponsetothepublicinterestedinthe
modelandasanalternativetobringMolatolife.
AfterpresentingMolaindifferentcountries,somanypeoplewantedtoknowwhenakitversionwascomingout,IfeltIhadto
sharethisideawithasmanypeopleaspossible.

Entre2007e2008,oestudoevalidaodomodeloaquipropostofoitemadedissertaodemestradonaUFOP
UniversidadeFederaldeOuroPreto,MinasGerais,Brasil.
Foramrealizadosmaisde40ensaios,testandoelementosisolados,estruturasplanaseespaciais.Osresultadosforam
surpreendentes!!!Omodelomuitomaisprecisodoquesepensava.Seucomportamentomuitosimilaraodeuma
estruturareal.
Around20072008,thestudyandvalidationoftheproposedmodelwasthesubjectofthemasterthesisatUFOPFederal
UniversityofOuroPreto,MinasGerais,Brazil.
Over40differenttestswereperformed,testingsingleelements,flatandspatialstructures.Theresultswereamazing!Themodelis
