1. Awesome – incrível, sensacional, “da hora”

“What did you think of Wolf of Wall Street?” “It was awesome! I loved it!”
“O que você achou de “O Lobo de Wall Street”? “Foi demais! Adorei!”
“I’ll pick you up at 1 pm, okay?” “Awesome.”
“Eu te pego à uma da tarde, okay?” “Perfeito.”
“My friend Dave is awesome, and he’s single You guys would be perfect for each
other!” “Really? I’d love to meet him.”
“Meu amigo Dave é sensacional e está solteiro. Vocês seriam perfeitos um para o outro!”

2. Cool – legal, maneiro
“What did you think of my new boyfriend?” “I liked him. He seemed like a cool guy!”

3. To be beat – estar muito cansado, estar “só o pó da rabiola”
“Do you want to go out tonight? There’s a cool new rock bar that just opened.”
“Sorry, I can’t. I’m beat and I have to wake up early tomorrow.”
“Quer sair hoje à noite? Tem um novo bar de rock legal que acabou de abrir.” “Desculpa,
não posso. Estou morto e tenho que levantar cedo amanhã.”
“You look beat, what have you been doing?” “I’ve been helping my dad in the yard
all morning.”

4. To hang out (verb) – passar tempo, ficar de boa em algum lugar.
“Hey, it’s great to see you again.” “You too. We’ve got to hang out sometime.”
“Ei, que bom te ver de novo.” “Igualmente. A gente tem que se reunir qualquer hora.”
“Paulo, where do you usually hang out on a Friday night?” “If I’m not working,
usually at the diner across the road from school. Have you been there?”

5. Chill (out) – relaxar, ficar de boa

8. Babe – gata, gato (pessoa bonita)

18. to be sick – ser legal, maneiro
