Os eleitores que se encontrarem detidos ou presos durante as eleições autárquicas vão

votar, independentemente do local da detenção coincidir com o município onde deveria
exercer o direito.

Voters who are detained or imprisoned during autonomous elections will vote regardless
of where the place of detention coincides with the city where they should exercise the
right.
在自治选举中被拘留或监禁的选民将行使投票权，无论拘留地点与应行使权利的城市是
否重合。

O ministro da Administração do Território e Reforma do Estado, Adão de Almeida,

defendeu, nesta quinta-feira, no parlamento, a manutenção deste direito na Proposta de
Lei Orgânica Sobre as Eleições Autárquicas, durante a discussão do documento na
especialidade.
The Minister of Territory Administration and State Reform, Adão de Almeida, defended,
on Thursday, in parliament, the maintenance of this right in the Organic Law on
Autonomous Elections, during the discussion of the document in the specialty.

O ministro contrariou alguns deputados, principalmente os da oposição, que sugeriram a

sua retirada, por anteverem dificuldades na sua operacionalização, principalmente do
ponto de vista da logística e lisura do processo.

The minister opposed some deputies, especially those from the opposition, who
suggested their withdrawal, as they foresaw difficulties in its operation, mainly from the
point of view of logistics and the smoothness of the process.

Fundamentou que “há um princípio geral que deve ser salvaguardado, segundo o qual

the other way around."

He stated that the matter was resolved by early voting, which results from a willingness of
the detained or imprisoned voter who, however, should not be deprived of the exercise of
political rights.
