O  plural  de  MAN  (man  =  homem)  é  MEN  (mén  =  homens)  
 
O  plural  de  WOMAN  (úuman  =  mulher)  é  WOMEN  (uímen  =  mulheres)  
 
O  plural  de  TOOTH  (tuuth  =  dente)  é  TEETH  (Dith  =  dentes)  

O  plural  de  FOOT  (fut  =  pé)  é  FEET  (fiit  =  pés)  

Recorde,  além  disso,  que:  

TROUSERS  (tráuzeRs  =  calças)  e  SCISSORS  (sízeRs  =  tesouras)  vão  sempre  no  plural;  
enquanto  que  SHEEP  (shiip  =  ovelha)  é  igual  no  plural  e  no  singular.

  Os  dois  verbos  ingleses  mais  importantes  são:
 
   to  have  (haver  ou  ter)  e  to  be  (ser  ou  estar)
   
 
Para   evitar   confusões,   até   agora   tenho   ensinado   o   verbo   to  be  
como   se   significasse   somente   estar,   mas   como   este   verbo  
significa   também   ser,   você   vai   estudá-­‐lo   agora   com   os   seus  
dois  significados.

 O  PASSADO  DO  VERBO  TO  BE
   
Para  conhecer  o  passado  do  verbo  to  be  só  é  necessário  recordar  as  palavras  was  e  were.

Você  dominará  facilmente  o  passado  do  verbo  to  be  se  não  esquecer  o  fato  de  que  são  
necessárias  somente  duas  palavras  inglesas  para  cobrir  as  numerosas,  diferentes  e  
indispensáveis  conjugações  do  passado  dos  verbos  ser  e  estar  da  lingua  portuguesesa.

Quando  a  frase  começa  com  IF  (se),  e  você  esDver  uDlizando  o    passado  do
