Preposições de Lugar (A)

Preposições de lugar são pequenas palavras que nos

dizem a posição e localização. Elas descrevem onde
está um objeto em relação a outra coisa.

Nessa aula, vamos aprender como usar as preposições

'in', 'at' e 'on' para descrever a localização.

In

A preposição 'in' é usada para descrever um objeto que

está dentro de um espaço fechado, por exemplo:

Mother is in the kitchen.

The flowers are in the vase.
They are swimming in the water.
The tea is in the cup.

On

A preposição 'on' é usada para descrever a posição no

topo de uma superfície ou acima de alguma coisa.

e.x. on the table

on a bike
on a horse
on the mountain
on the carpet

'On' também é usado para mostrar que alguma coisa

está ligada ou em contato com outra coisa:

e.x. The writing is on the wall.

There is a stain on his shirt.
The coat is hanging on the door.
There's a fly on the ceiling.
Put the mat on the floor.

At

A preposição 'at' é usada para descrever um objeto que

está próximo a alguma coisa, ou localizado em um
local específico;

e.x. at the bus stop

at the cinema
at the door
at the station

É usado quando falamos de prédios ou lugares,

especialmente quando estamos interessados na função
do lugar, e não no seu interior.

e.x. She's at the cinema. (Ela está assintindo a um

filme)
PORÉM It's too cold in the cinema. (A sala está muito
fria)

In At On

He's in the I'm sitting on the I saw him at the

kitchen. chair. station.
She lives in There's a rug on He's at work.
Japan. the floor. I'll meet you at
The pen is in my What's that mark the corner of the
pocket. on your shirt? street.
