Vôlei – Volleyball
Alicia: Voleibol é um desporto praticado numa
quadra dividida em duas partes por uma rede.
O jogo é iniciado por uma das equipes que dão
o saque, lançando a bola para o lado da equipe
adversária. Após o saque, a bola deve
ultrapassar a rede, onde os jogadores
adversários evitam que caia em seu campo,
utilizando no máximo três toques. O jogo é
dividido em sets, quem vencer os três
primeiros, ganha a partida.

Volleyball is a sport played on a court divided

into two parts by a net.
The game is started by one of the teams that
serve, throwing the ball to the side of the
opposing team. After the service, the ball must
pass the net, where the opposing players
prevent it from falling into their field, using a

Isabelle: O vôlei foi criado em 1895, pelo
americano William G. Morgan, então diretor de
educação física da Associação Cristã de Moços
(ACM) na cidade de Holyoke, em
Massachusetts, nos Estados Unidos. O
primeiro nome deste esporte que viria se tornar
um dos maiores do mundo foi mintonette.

Naquela época, o esporte da moda era o

basquetebol, criado apenas quatro anos antes,
mas que tiveram uma rápida difusão. Era, no
entanto, um jogo muito cansativo para pessoas
de idade. Por sugestão do pastor Lawrence
Rinder, Morgan idealizou um jogo menos
fatigante para os associados mais velhos da
ACM e colocou uma rede semelhante à de
tênis, a uma altura de 1,98 metros, sobre a qual
uma câmara de bola de basquete era batida,
surgindo assim o jogo de vôlei.

Volleyball was created in 1895 by the American

William G. Morgan, then director of physical education
for the Christian Youth Association (ACM) in the city of
Holyoke, Massachusetts, in the United States. The first
name of this sport that was to become one of the biggest
in the world was mintonette. At that time, the sport of
fashion was basketball, created only four years before,
but which had a rapid spread. It was, however, a very
tiring game for older people. At the suggestion of Pastor
Lawrence Rinder, Morgan devised a less stressful game
for the older members of the YMCA and placed a
tennis-like net at a height of 1.98 meters, over which a
basketball camera was hit, thus the volleyball game was
born.

Ana: Regras do voleibol

As principais regras do vôlei são:

 Cada equipe possui um técnico;

 Uma partida é constituída de 5 sets;
 Não existe tempo pré-determinado para
cada set;
 Cada set tem um máximo de 25 pontos
com uma diferença mínima de 2 pontos;
 Em caso de empate no set no final (24 x
24), a partida continua até que a diferença
de dois pontos seja atingida (26 x 24, 27 x
25, etc.);
 Após o saque, a equipe só pode tocar três
vezes na bola;
 Ganha a equipe que vencer três sets;
 Se houver empate nos sets (2x2) o 5º set
será decisivo
