presente.

USADO TAMBÉM PARA:

Expressar verdades universais;

Sentimentos;

Desejos;

Opiniões e Preferências;

Geralmente nesse tempo verbal, aparecem advérbios, como:

now, always, never, today, every day, daily, often, sometimes, generally, usually.

Regras do Simple Past

A conjugação varia de acordo com a pesoa verbal, com a terminação do verbo e o
tipo de frase - affirmative, interrogative and negative -

Affirmative form
PARA OS PRONOMES: I, You, We, They o verbo fica normal;

PARA OS PRONOMES: he, she e it;

Para os verbos terminados em -o, -z, -ss, -ch, -sh, -x, ascrecentamos no final -es;
(Exemplo: to watch - watches)
Para os verbos terminados em consoante e -y, ascresentamos -ies. (Exemplo: to fry
- fries);
Para os verbos terminados em vogal e -y, acresentamos -s. (Exemplo: to say -
says);

EXAMPLES:

He teaches Spanish at the university.

She always kisses her grandma before leaving.

They prefer Italian food.

Negative form
PARA OS PRONOMES: I , You, We, They;

Utilizamos don't para negar a frase.

PARA OS PRONOMES: he, she e it;

Utilizamos doesn't para negar a frase.

OBS: na forma negativa não é necessário adicionar s, ies ou es.

EXAMPLE:

He doesn't teach Spanish at the university.

They don't prefer Italian food.

She doesn't watch TV every day.

You don't arrive late.

Interrogative form
PARA OS PRONOMES: I , You, We, They;

Utilizamos Do - no início - para fazer uma pergunta.

PARA OS PRONOMES: he, she e it;

Utilizamos Does - no início - para fazer uma pergunta.

OBS: na forma interrogativa não é necessário adicionar s, ies ou es.

EXAMPLE:

Does he teach Spanish at the university?

Do they prefer Italian food?

Does she watch TV every day?

Do you arrive late?

 Quando fazem uma pegunta com Do you no inicio, posso responder YES, I DO. ou
NO, I DON'T.
Quando fazem uma pegunta com Does she no inicio, posso responder YES, SHE
DOES. ou NO, SHE DOESN'T.
