Baratino

Baratino é uma gíria baiana que significa engano, invenção, mentira. A série de retratos que negam e
aprofundam o desejo por questionar os sentidos cria uma tensão entre dois corpos vivos: homem e animal para
simbolizar a estrutura perene produzida pela necropolítica instalada, onde as pessoas racializadas encontram
sempre num território de tensão e suspensão, onde podem estar quase vivos.
Enquadrados por uma parede crua de tijolos, uma relação é estabelecida pela fabulação através dos elementos
resignificados
ou reafirmados simbolicamente.

Baratino is a slang from Bahia that means deceit, invention, lie. The series of portraits that deny and deepen the
desire to question the senses creates a tension between two living bodies: man and animal to symbolize the
perennial structure produced by the installed necropolitics, where racialized people are always in a territory of
tension and suspension, where they can be almost alive.
Framed by a raw brick wall, a relationship is established by the fabulation through the resignified elements.
