RESUMO

Neste trabalho, buscou-se evidenciar a leitura em seus diversos aspectos e

possibilidades, demonstrar a importncia da criao do hbito de ler desde as sries iniciais.
Para o seu desenvolvimento foi elaborada reviso bibliogrfica atravs de autores que tratam
desse tema, entre eles: Cagliari (1003), Coelho (2000; Freire (2003); Lajolo (1988);
Martins(!982); Orlandi (1983); Yunes (2003);Smith (1999), Revista, etc. Verificou-se que a
leitura de suma importncia para o aprendizado, pois leva o leitor ao conhecimento
cientfico e o conhecimento do mundo, o qual refletir para o leitor em novos conhecimentos.
Ajuda tambm o aluno a aumentar o seu vocabulrio e suas expresses, envolvendo o leitor
com idias, as quais lhe daro enfoques abrangentes para o conhecimento cultural do qual
depende o seu progresso na vida. A leitura um dos principais instrumentos para que o
indivduo construa o seu conhecimento e aprenda a exercer sua cidadania. Permite tambm o
exerccio da fantasia e leva quem l a construir um mundo imaginrio, onde pode exercer sua
reflexo crtica e promove o debate de idias.. Sabe-se tambm que a leitura uma condio
prvia para a escrita, pois bons leitores so bons escritores, suas produes de textos so
dinmicas e consonantes. Demonstra tambm que o ato de ler deve ir alm da leitura das
letras, de palavras; levando o indivduo leitura de mundo, do contexto cultural onde ele vive
possibilitando assim o desenvolvimento do senso crtico.

ABSTRACT
In this study, we sought evidence to read in its various aspects and
opportunities to demonstrate the importance of establishing the habit of reading from the
initial series. For development review was prepared by authors dealing with this issue,
including: Cagliari (1003), Rabbit (2000; Freire (2003); Lajolo (1988), Martins (! 982),
Orlandi (1983); Yunes (2003), Smith (1999), Magazine, etc.. It was found that reading is very
important for learning because it leads the reader to scientific knowledge and knowledge of
the world, which reflects to the reader in the foreground. Help also the student to increase
their vocabulary and expressions, involving the reader with ideas, which will give you
comprehensive approaches to cultural knowledge which depends on his progress in life.
Reading is one of the main tools for the individual to build the their knowledge and learn to
exercise their citizenship. It also allows the pursuit of those who read fantasy and takes to
build an imaginary world where you can exercise your critical thinking and promote
discussion of ideas .. We also know that reading is a prerequisite for writing, because good
readers are good writers, their production of texts are dynamic and in line. It also shows that
the act of reading must go beyond reading the letters, words, leading the individual to the
reading world, the cultural context where he lives thus enabling the development of critical
thinking.
