The barber magic

it is afternoon in Crossways. Crossways is a quiet town. Crossways is a

sleepy town.

everybody in Crossways wears a large hat. everybody in Crossways wears a

black hat.

the women wear round, black hats. the men wear tall, black hats.
as mulheres usam chapus redondos, pretos. os homens usam altas,chapus pretos.

the girls wear tall, black hats. the boys wear square, black hats.
as meninas usam altas, chapus pretos. os meninos usam quadrados,chapus pretos.

everybody has long hair. everybody wears a large hat. everybody wears a
large hat over their long hair.
todo mundo tem cabelo comprido. todo mundo usa um grande chapu.todo mundo usa um grande chapu sobre os cabelos
longos.

it is afternoon in Crossways. the sun shining brightly. it is a hot afternoon.

everybody is sleeping
. tarde em Crossways. o sol brilhando. uma tarde quente. todo mundo est dormindo.
suddenly there is a loud noise. everybody wakes up. they all look round.
de repente, h um rudo alto. todo mundo acorda. Eles todos parecem rodada.

what is happening? who is making that loud noise?

o que est acontecendo? Quem est fazendo barulho som?

a small boy is walking along the street. he is beating a drum. the small boy
is a walking in front of a donkey. the donkey is pulling a cart.
um menino est andando na rua. han est batendo um tambor. o menino um p na frente de um burro. o burro est
puxando um carrinho.

the man is sitting on the cart. there is a large notice above the man's head.
o homem est sentado no carrinho. h um grande aviso acima da cabea do homem.

everybody reads the notice. everybody in Crossways is happy. they don't

like black hats. they all shout and cheer.
todo mundo l o aviso prvio. todo mundo em Crossways feliz. Elesno gostam de chapus pretos. Eles gritam e aplaudem.

they all throw their hats in the air. the wind blows the hats in the sky.
todos eles jogam seus chapus no ar. o vento sopra os chapus no cu.

nobody sees the small boy. he is busy. he is picking up the hats.

ningum v o menino. ele est ocupado. ele est pegando os chapus.

the small boy is putting the hats in large bag. he fills the large bag with
hats.
o menino est dando os chapus em grande saco. ele enche o sacogrande com chapus.

The small boy lifts up the large bag. He runs of the town. He is carrying the
large bag on his back.
O menino levanta o saco grande. Ele corre da cidade. Ele est carregando o grande saco nas costas.

a young man climbs onto the cart. he sits down on the chair. he pays the
barber a dollar.
um jovem sobe no carrinho. ele se senta na cadeira. ele paga o barbeiroum dlar.

he waves a large pair of scissors in the air. he shouts the magic words.
snip! snip! up and down! round and round! and off it comes!
recorte! tesourada! cima e para baixo! voltas e voltas! e fora dele vem!

the magic barber pulls away the towel. everybody shouts. the young man's
hair is short.
o barbeiro mgico afasta a toalha. todo mundo grita. cabelo do rapaz curto.

the young man's hair is green.

O cabelo do jovem verde.
Everybody shouts and cheers. Everybody is happy.
Todo mundo grita e aplaude. todo mundo fica feliz.

the magic barber cuts everybody's hair.

o barbeiro mgico corta o cabelo de todo mundo.
the women have blue hair. the men have green hair. the boys have red hair.
the girls have yellow hair.
as mulheres tm o cabelo azul. os homens tem cabelo verde. os meninos tm cabelo ruivo. as meninas tm o cabelo amarelo.

nobody in corssways is wearing a hat.

the people of crossways go to bed. they wake up in the morning. a young
man looks in the mirror.
o povo de crossways ir para a cama. eles acordam na manh seguinte.um jovem se olha no espelho.

what has happened? where is his hair? he has no hair! he is bald.

o que aconteceu? onde o seu cabelo? ele no tem cabelo! ele est careca.

the people of crossways are angry. everybody is bald. they have no hair.
they want their hats back.
o povo de crossways esto com raiva. todo mundo est careca. eles no tm nenhum cabelo. eles querem que
seus chapus de volta.

suddenly there is a loud noise. a small boy is walking along the steet. he is
blowing a trumpet. he is blowing the trumpet loudly.
de repente, h um rudo alto. um menino est andando para a rua. eleest soprando uma trombeta. ele est tocando a
trombeta em voz alta.

the small boy is walking in fronta donkey. the donkey is pulling a cart. a man
is sitting on the cart.
o menino est andando na fronta burro. o burro est puxando um carrinho. um homem est sentado no carrinho.

the cart is full of black hats. there is a notice above the cart.
o carrinho est cheio de chapus pretos. h um aviso sobre o carrinho.

everybody reads the notice. they cheer and shout

todo mundo l o aviso prvio. eles alegrar e gritar
everybody buys a black hats. the black hat cover their bald heads.
everybody is happy.
todo mundo compra um chapu preto. o chapu preto cobrir suas cabeas calvas. todo mundo fica feliz.
