Verão de 1870. Dois escritores, Eça e Ramalho, escreveram um policial
para o Diário de Notícias. Será que a história que criaram como ficção é
baseada num caso real? O folhetim avança, e com ele ameaças, duelos,
sexo e intrigas. Os crimes sucedem-se numa história onde o amor é mais
forte do que a tradição, a intriga escapa às evidências e tudo corre freneti-
camente, como num jogo.
Summer of 1870. Two writers, Eça and Ramalho, wrote a detective story
for a big newspaper. Is it possible the fictitious story they created was
actually based on the truth? The story developed as threats, duels, pa-
ssion, and intrigues followed. Crimes happened in a story where love is
more powerful than tradition, intrigues lead to the facts, and everything
goes like an extreme game.

Cidália is 36 years old, a Portuguese living with her family in the suburbs
of Paris. Her life is about working to get money, in a closed community
which does not like to be seen. But one night her eldest son is murdered
by the police, and thus her life will change forever. Cidália refused to ac-
cept the explanation from the officials, the passivity, the shame of her
community, and the absurdity of her life.

bém o mais doido. Sozinho, rádio na mão, rasga montanhas ao
som das cassetes do popular cantor Quim Barreiros. Os sons das
cassetes e do rádio puxam-no para longe de uma vida de solidão.
Até quando o jovem Hermínio será pastor? Mas…ainda há pas-
tores?

They say Hermínio, 27 years old, is the youngest yet craziest

shepherd. Alone, with a radio in his hand, he breaks the silence of
the mountains with the songs from the famous singer Quim Bar-
reiros. The sound of the cassettes and the radio pushes him far
away from a solitary life. Until when will he keep being a shep-
herd? But…, do shepherds really still exist?

Katanya, Hermínio, 27 tahun, adalah pengembala paling muda,

namun paling gila. Sendirian, dengan radio di tangannya, ia me-
mecah kesunyian pegunungan dengan lagu-lagu populer dari
Quim Barreiros. Suara kaset dan radio menjauhkannya dari se-
