Ex-professor de geografia da Universidade da Califórnia em Los
Angeles (ucla), agora vice-presidente da Universidade de Notre
Dame (eua). Dedica-se aos estudos sobre geografia cultural e his-
tória do pensamento geográfico.
jörn seemann
É um geógrafo cultural que estuda as relações entre mapas e socie-
dade, o pensamento cartográfico e as diferentes maneiras de pensar,
perceber e representar espaço e lugar. Professor adjunto no Depar-
tamento de Geociências da Universidade Regional do Cariri.
ligia saramago
Graduada em arquitetura e urbanismo, é mestre e doutora em filosofia.
Atualmente é professora do Departamento de Filosofia da Pontifícia
Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. É membro do gt Heidegger e
do Núcleo de Estudos em Ética e Desconstrução (Need). Suas pesquisas
em filosofia abrangem, além do pensamento de Heidegger, estética, fi-
losofia do espaço, artes visuais e arquitetura. É também artista plástica,
tendo realizado diversas exposições no Brasil e no exterior.
lívia de oliveira
Professora emérita do Instituto de Geociências e Ciências Exatas e
atualmente professora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geogra-
fia da Universidade Estadual Paulista, em Rio Claro. Coordenadora
do grupo de pesquisa Geografia Humanista Cultural (cnpq/uff).
Dedica-se aos estudos sobre educação geográfica; cartografia para
crianças; e percepção e cognição do meio ambiente.
