Caractersticas

Com alta condutibilidade eltrica, o CADC fabricado em liga de alumnio, para utilizao nas conexes bimetlicas (Al/Cu) e de condutores Al/Al (com ou sem alma de ao), slidos ou multifilares. A aplicao realizada atravs de ferramenta apropriada, com a deflagrao de cartuchos de plvora, projetados de acordo com o dimensionamento do conector. Se houver necessidade, o CADC poder ser removido sem danificar os condutores. O CADC fornecido com a pasta anti-oxidante Inteltrox, para garantir uma perfeita conexo, em embalagem individual codificada nas cores amarela, azul ou vermelha, de acordo com a sua especificao. A gravao no corpo do componente C do conector e o cdigo de cores nas embalagens, visam proporcionar uma fcil identificao do cartucho de plvora a ser utilizado. Dois modelos de ferramentas podem ser utilizados, com o respectivo cartucho plstico ou metlico, permitindo uma instalao rpida e segura.

Characteristics
The Intelli CADC aluminum wedge connector is made of high conductivity aluminum alloy for bimetallic (Al/Cu) and Al/Al connections, AAC, AAAC and ASCR, solid or stranded. The CADC is easily installed with tools that use powder boosters especially designed for the connectors. Two types of tools are available: one for plastic boosters and another for metal ones always providing a quick and safe installation. Connectors can be removed, if necessary, with the same tool with no damage to conductors. The CADC connectors are pre-filled with the Inteltrox anti-oxide compound to enchance contact points and protect the connection against outside elements like moist and dirt. Connectors are stripsealed in individual color coded plastic bags.

Made of black UV resistant material the CADC cover prevents connection from coming into contact with other taps or a grounding point while it also protects connection from the weather. Este conjunto de conexo formado pela unio permanente de um conector cunha de alumnio e um estribo de cobre estanhado, com grande capacidade de corrente e excelente caracterstica mecnica, assegurando um perfeito ponto de conexo para outros conectores ou grampo de linha viva. Fornecido com o composto anti-xido Inteltrox.

Characteristics
This connection set comprises one aluminum wedge connector and atin plated copper stirrup with great current carrying capacity and high mechanical strength to ensure a perfect tapping spot with other connectors or hot line clamps. Pre-filled with Inteltrox anti-oxide compound.

Definida a combinao adequada do conector e cartucho, de acordo com as bitolas dos cabos, deve ser efetuada uma limpeza nos condutores. Na montagem do CADC nos condutores, deve ser observado o posicionamento correto destes em relao aos canais da cunha, pois nela vem gravadas as bitolas dos condutores para cada canal. Com a utilizao de um dos dois modelos de ferramentas disponveis, para cartucho plstico ou metlico, a aplicao do CADC bastante simples, sendo a ferramenta escolhida carregada com o cartucho correspondente e fixada no conector. Aps o disparo provocado pelo cartucho, a cunha impelida pelo mbolo da ferramenta, entre os dois condutores colocados no componente C. Ao trmino da aplicao, observa-se a formao de uma trava de segurana na extremidade da cunha, garantindo a perfeita conexo. Once the proper connector/booster combination is determined according to the selection charts, make sure conductors are wire brushed to remove the oxide films. Look on the wedge for proper conductor position. Select one of the two tool models available, for plastic or metal booster. After the booster if correctly placed inside the tool position the CADC aluminum wedge connector in the designated area of the tool. When the tool is fired the tool ram drives the wedge into the C body between the conductors. A skive is left on the wedges rear end to lock the connection.

Na aplicao do conector com o cartucho plstico, utilizado um martelo para acionamento do disparador da ferramenta. The plastic booster tool takes a hammer to fire the tool.

Para a opo do cartucho metlico, a ferramenta utilizada possui um gatilho disparador, dispensando o uso do martelo. The metal booster tool features a firing trigger.
