Evaluating Others
Q: When we criticize another person, are we
invading God’s territory? Can we improve
ourselves by evaluating others?
A: It doesn’t matter if you evaluate others as
long as you don't think too strictly. It is not
good to decide whether another person is
good or bad, however. We human beings
don't know whether a person is really good
or bad. If we evaluate others with a positive
attitude, it is all right. It is not good to hold
negative attitudes towards others, especially
hatred. If we criticize others with hatred, it
creates spiritual clouds.
If you are bothered by another’s criticism of
you, your level of understanding is shallow.
You should do what you think is right toward
others and toward God. Having a strong will
to be loved by God is more important than
gaining the favor of others. You might not be
understood, but you don’t have to pay too
much attention to that. If others judge you as
bad but you are doing the right thing, the
person who is judging you is purifying your
spiritual clouds. So you can appreciate that.
The person who judges someone wrongly
creates spiritual clouds for himself.
Rev. Ajiki: Many times God is telling us the
truth through the judgment and criticism of
others. When this happens, we have to
check ourselves and ask if there is any
meaning behind it or any area where we
need to improve. Sometimes I might think
my plan is right but the time is not, so that
may be the reason for the criticism. There
are many diferent factors to consider.

Interlocutor: Quando criticamos outra
pessoa, estamos invadindo o território de
Deus? Podemos melhorar a nós mesmos
avaliando os outros?
Meishu Sama: Não importa se você avaliar
os outros, desde que você não pense de
forma muito rigorosa. No entanto, não é bom
decidir se outra pessoa é boa ou ruim. Nós,
seres humanos, não temos como saber se
uma pessoa é realmente boa ou ruim. Se
avaliarmos os outros com uma atitude
positiva, tudo bem. Não é bom manter
atitudes negativas em relação aos outros,
especialmente com ódio. Se criticarmos os
outros com ódio, isso cria nuvens espirituais.
Se você está incomodado com a crítica de
alguém sobre você, seu nível de
compreensão é superficial. Você deve fazer
o que pensa ser certo perante os outros e
perante Deus. Ter uma forte vontade de ser
amado por Deus é mais importante do que
ganhar o favoritismo dos outros. Você pode
ser mal interpretado, mas não precisa
prestar muita atenção a isso. Se outros te
julgarem como ruim, mas você está fazendo
o que é certo, a pessoa que está te julgando,
está purificando suas nuvens espirituais.
Então você pode se sentir agradecido. A
pessoa que julga alguém erroneamente cria
nuvens espirituais para si mesma.
Rev Ajiki: Muitas vezes Deus está nos
dizendo a verdade através do julgamento e
crítica dos outros. Quando isso acontece,
temos que nos controlar e nos perguntar se
há algum significado por trás disso ou se há
qualquer área em que precisamos melhorar.
Às vezes eu posso pensar que meu plano
está certo, mas o tempo não está, então
esse pode ser o motivo da crítica. Existem
muitos fatores diferentes a serem
considerados.
