INOVAÇÃO EDUCACIONAL?
ABSTRACT: This article deals with a discussion about Problem Based Learning
(PBL) and Educational Innovation, seeking to establish meaningful relationships
between these two variables, in order to identify whether or not there is innovation
regarding the application of PBL in the teaching process. The purpose of this
framework is to reflect on the current situation of teaching in its different modalities,
which in recent years suffer from negative criticism regarding its quality and
effectiveness. This research is a systematic review of the literature, characterized as
a descriptive exploratory qualitative. For its effectiveness, a descriptive and
bibliometric analysis was performed in 21 articles from the SCOPUS database. It was
evidenced that the PBL, although not current, proposes a rethinking of traditional
teaching methods, as well as suggests innovation in pedagogical practices, provided
that it is planned within the guiding criteria already pre-established for area, that is ,
That meet the indicators of educational innovation, and that are in agreement with
the applied context.
