Discussion Topics for English Subject

1st Year, 2023, 2nd Semester
Topics: Nouns (plural of regular and irregular nouns)
Introduction
Nouns are naming words. Every language has its own set of nouns and the list is open-ended,
i.e. as time goes on, more and more words are added as a direct response to the need to refer
to new concepts.
Nouns can agree in number (a student/ two students) or in gender (a man/ a woman). The
former is done in different ways such as adding, s, es, ies and so on.
Guidelines:

 Research on the given topic and provide thorough information about it. Say what
nouns are and how the plural of nouns is formed in English. Don’t forget to talk about
irregular nouns.

Organizational criteria
a) The fieldwork must be carried out individually. Group work will not be accepted under
any circumstances.
b) Cases of plagiarism from the internet and among colleagues will receive a zero grade.
c) The grade of the assignment varies from 0 (zero) to 20 (twenty) marks.
d) Use Times New Roman font, size 12, spacing 1.5, justified text with upper and left
margins of 3 cm and lower and right margins of 2 cm.
e) The assignment must contain between 10-15 pages (depending on the nature of the
subject, it may be less or more) including the pre-textual elements.
f) The assignment must contain: Introduction, Development, Conclusion or Final
Considerations, and Bibliography.
g) In the elaboration of the assignment, it must follow the APA Norms, 6th edition.
