RESUMO

Este estudo faz uma análise dos utensílios ósseos do Paleolítico

Superior Português recuperados de 12 sítios, quase todos localizados
na Estremadura, mas também no Alto Alentejo e no Algarve Ocidental
e o seu enquadramento cronológico e cultural. É uma análise do
ponto de vista morfológico, morfométrico e tecnológico.
Caracterizam-se as marcas de manufactura deixadas nas superfícies
ósseas pelo utensílio lítico utilizado, bem como as marcas de uso.

OSSEOUS ARTIFACTS FROM THE PORTUGUESE UPPER

PALEOLITHIC

ABSTRACT

This study is an analysis of bone and antler tools from the Upper
Paleolithic Portuguese recovered from 12 sites, almost all located in
Estremadura, but also in the Alto Alentejo and Algarve West and its
cultural and chronological framework. It is an analysis in terms of
morphological, morphometric and technology. They feature the
brands of manufacturing left in the bone surfaces by the stone tools
used, and wear marks.
