INSTRUCTIONS:
Input the six values located in the yellow cells.
Select shear modulus (G) from Table-1, highlighted in the blue cells.
To copy shear modulus (G) click Copy, then Paste Special with Values selected.
The sea level atmospheric pressure (P0) is the standard pressure at sea level.
The simulation altitude (h) is the point of maximum velocity during the flight.
Temperature (T), pressure (P) and speed of sound (a) at the simulation altitude are computed automatically.
Reference NASA web page for atmospheric P, T and a: http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/K-12/airplane/atmos.html
To avoid flutter it is recommended a 25% safety factor be applied to the theoretical flutter velocity result.
Shear modulus (G) computed using the following relationship: G = E / 2( 1 + n).
