Acabam de ser publicados dois trabalhos brasileiros pela Associao Britnica
de Direito, Tecnologia e Educao (Bileta), em Londres. As pesquisas foram
produzidas por cientistas do Instituto de Governo Eletrnico, Inteligncia
Jurdica e Sistemas (Ijuris) e foram apresentadas durante o encontro anual da
associao. Os artigos podem ser lidos no site: www.bileta.ac.uk
Os trabalhos enfocam o projeto "Forum Eletrnico" e o curso "Pesquisa
Jurdica na Internet", e foram publicados com os seguintes ttulos e autores:

Estes so os nicos trabalhos brasileiros, dentre os vinte oficialmente
selecionados pelo comit cientfico do evento. Outra importante novidade a
abertura para seleo dos trabalhos da conferncia Bileta 2004, que ser
organizada pela Universidade de Durham, conforme a chamada que segue:

The 19th Annual BILETA Conference is being hosted by the Institute for
Commercial and Corporate Law at the University of Durham. "Out of the Box",

the conference theme, offers many resonances. It invokes issues concerning

the way in which recent technologies have moved beyond the traditional
threshold of the computer itself, the exponential growth of the digital
environment, and the social, legal and political strategies for addressing the
various Pandorian horrors (and gifts) such developments promise to release.
More importantly the conference challenges lawyers, educationalists and
policy makers to consider creatively the way in which we might best navigate
these unsettled and unsettling times. It's time to start thinking out of the box.
As ever, the conference will consider both the regulation of information
technology and its use in the legal environment as a facilitating and/or
educational tool. Streams will include:
- Internet governance
- online content regulation
- intellectual property
- electronic commerce
- privacy
- access to legal information online
- ICT and legal education
- IT and legal practice
Proposals for papers are welcome in these and other related areas.
Submissions should be in the form of short abstract (no more than 500 words)
outlining the main thrust and conclusions of the paper. The abstracts for those
papers accepted for presentation at the conference will be provided in the
conference packs. Authors will also be requested to submit the text of the
completed papers following the conference for publication on the BILETA
website. Please note that only papers that are presented at the conference in
person by at least one of the authors will be published online.
Proposals for papers (in MS Word) should be submitted to:
BILETA2004@durham.ac.uk.
The deadline for submissions is 31st December 2003. Successful applications
will be notified during January 2004.
