Shes been a very pleasant surprise. Perhaps the most light hearted and girly character in
group. Performed well above average in written and practical exams. Prefers pastry section
wouldnt say she has as much potential as a guy like Jordany for example but she isnt as
ambitious and can actually perform. For that reason I suggest she is trained as a 2nd to Ma
at the bakery rather than Jordany. That way I feel positive we can ensure both of these
individuals continue to grow.
After dealing with her for a few times I cant see her past her current stage. Her priorities a
not being trained or integrating SUNDY. She is clearly more interested in raising her child a
that is only fair, however she has a complacent attitude towards training sometimes borde
on no interest at all. A positive factor is she seems to keep her lack of interest to herself an
does not contaminate others.
Its too bad because she can actually cook. My advise here is to have her as the Staff Cant
Cook, here she can actually do what she likes and keep the staff happy as she very good a
cooking homey food.
The way he thinks and visualizes organization makes him a top candidate for a Roa SUND
supervisor in my eyes. Has wife and family in Prncipe & more importantly for a senior role
is from Prncipe. Performed slightly above average in Oral, written and practical exams.
I advise him to be trained as one of the supervisors for Roa SUNDY alongside Apolinrio.
This is one of the guys that has to sleep on the floor everynight.
Although he is one of the quietest persons of the group he is actually one of the most
articulate ones. Performed above average on his practical exams and does show some
promise. Should be employed at Praia as to develop his skills to the fullest.
Shows great autonomy & an ever present keen interest in everything that happens in the
kitchen. Has a great sense of responsibility & clearly loves the rhythm of a kitchen as well
developing her own skills. Has some household problems with her husband and has been
physically attacked by him.
During theory classes she takes a little more to understand than the average but she show
signs of being capable to elaborate on her own words during the written exam.
To me she is someone who will develop her skills overtime in a very efficient manner, she
should however be closely accompanied by her seniors so she continues on learning from
them.
During the practical exams she showed great promise in terms of organisation and kitchen
dynamics, perhaps the most mature person of the group in those terms. Shes very good w
baked goods, hence my suggestion to me no1at the bakery structure.
Still one of my favourite trainees. Loves to be busy all the time and has that knack for past

An optimist by nature. Performed reasonably well during theory classes and exams and cou

Has really good mental strength, perhaps the strongest guy of the group in this aspect. Ma

proactive guy. For example he pitched in to help out in the kitchen at Bon Bon on a Sunday
when that was supposed to be his day off.
Would really like to see him at Praia, have a feeling he could go a long way with his skills.
Another case of a guy that has more than meets the eye. Really attentive personality
although he is mostly quiet.
Best performer on the practical exams and he took that as a major boost to his confidence
His colleagues have a great deal of respect for him.
Definitely a contender for a Junior Chef de Partie position at Praia.
He has pointed out a very good question which is the lack of activities in Prncipe. Hes qui
good at having a different opinion to others, this can lead him to be a very good person to
have around, he thinks outside the box. Has no family in Prncipe and struggling a bit with
higher cost of living here.
I have a strong opinion he should be seen as a good candidate for a Chef de Partie position
Praia, however dont think he should be included in the mid tier training just yet. Being an
underdog is a situation he flourishes in, let him achieve all his potential as one before mov
him on.
Great guy, he will be a very very solid cook and we should keep him at all costs.
Great dynamics in the kitchen, organization, working practices, capable of taking in and
understanding criticism towards her work. So mature and selfless as well. Being married to
the new sous-chef of Bon Bon should give her enough stability to become a great cook at
Praia.
Performed better at practical than written exams, but that just shows how much of a good
cook she can become.
Strongly recommend her for a strong Chef de Partie position at Praia.

He has the most outgoing personality of the group, sometimes hard to control. He excels o
one on one situations. Very good at expressing himself, charming even.
The ease he has with people could make him an excellent candidate for a Pool Bar position
Performed admirably on his written exam. My suggestion is we look past his demeanour an
observe his personality more in depth.
To me hes a clear example that first impressions dont always count the most.
Very concerned with her. Shes not happy with her living situation and is probably the pers
feeling the change of scenario the most. I would not want to risk losing her because of
personal issues. I always give her special attention and she seems to react slowly but in a
positive manner.
Sometimes the greatest talents are also plagued by the biggest self doubts, she is an
example of that. I can only suggest we intervene ASAP on her living conditions and do prov
her with special support, we cant always expect people to come to us with their problems.

Hes a guy that wants to learn more and always seeks the attention of senior staff. Howeve
he must learn to conquer that attention rather than asking for it. Hes from So Tom but f
quite happy in Prncipe.
I see him much the same way as I see Celso except he needs to tweak his attitude a little t
better suit a Praia role. Definitely a Commis, but perhaps better suited for a Roa role.
Has a slight difficulty in seeing past his own point of view sometimes. Thats is main flaw in
my opinion. Needs to understand he has it all to learn, not the other way around.
Still he is able to distinguish right from wrong with great ease and performed above averag
in his practical exams.
Would consider him as a suitable employee for Roa.
Hes struggling quite a bit with life in Prncipe. His family and girlfriend live in So Tom an
he misses them a lot. He also really liked Omali. We should consider him as someone to wo
there before he decides to leave on his own.
He has potential there but dont think he would be Praia material.
Strongly suggest we employ him at Omali.
Shows more optimism than previous times and has indeed improved on his proactive attitu
towards cooking. He got paired with Maria for the practical drills which saw him do quite w
when accompanied by someone who is better at organization than him. Still think he lacks
empathy towards senior management people.
Has a strong family household and this could be a determining factor for him to become a
good employee for SUNDY. Would recommend him for a Commis position at Praia.
Showed similar difficulties to others when confronted with elaborating in both oral and writ
forms, however his practical exams were slightly better than average.
I will not hide that I Celso is my favourite. For that reason I am sometimes harder on him th
I am on others. His living conditions are not good. In fact HBD should review the living
conditions of all trainees living at the communal housing. From what I have been told they
dont have enough beds, and that could generate friction in the long term. We need to mak
sure these kids at least have a bed to sleep on, that is basic living conditions.
He has that spark of energy that defines great characters in the kitchen. Still has a long wa
to go but I would for sure keep him close to senior expat figures.
Strongly advise him to be a Commis at Praia, and Angelo I think this is a guy you can push
also keep close to you at all times.
He has integrated really well, loves his new colleagues. Perhaps not the strongest person in
terms of communication but has good leadership skills. Hes also grown to be a somewhat
father figure for a lot of the kids. Strongly suggest him to have a senior role at Roa. Perha
he would be disappointed for not being integrated at Praia but finding the right package fo
him at Roa could make him feel important, and he does like that feeling.
