A reversibilidade do corpo em Lygia Clark, Maria Cheung,
Rosana Paulino e Efignia
Nosso propsito nessa palestra conjugar a perspectiva
construtiva com a fenomenolgica: apreender as obras e o
processo criativo de quatro artistas brasileiras (Clark, Cheung,
Paulino e Efignia) em um tempo e espao prprios
(contemporaneidade), recorrendo categoria da reversibilidade de
Merleau-Ponty. Partindo do conceito de quiasma, busco trabalhar
o uso do corpo nessas quatro artistas como uma espcie de
porosidade, abertura para o mundo, para o outro, circularidade
entre o dentro e o fora, ver e ser visto, tocar e ser tocado, perceber
e ser percebido. So artistas que utilizando o corpo instauram uma
reversibilidade do campo esttico em scio-poltico-cultural. Em
todas, o corpo aparece como guerrilha, isto , estrutura operante,
expresso tanto de represso quanto de liberao, de resistncia
quanto de subverso.

The reversibility of the body in Lygia Clark, Maria Cheung,
Rosana Paulino and Efignia
Our purpose in this lecture is to combine the constructive and the
phenomenological perspectives: to seize the works and creative
process of four Brazilian artists (Clark, Cheung, Paulino and
Efignia) in its own time and space (contemporaneity), using
Merleau- Pontys category of reversibility. Starting from the
concept of chiasm, I try to work the use of the body in those four
artists as a kind of porosity, an openness to the world, to the other,
a circularity between the inside and the outside, to see and to be
seen, to touch and to be touched, to perceive and to be perceived.
Those are artists who, by using the body, established a
reversibility of the aesthetic field into a socio-political-cultural
one. In all of them, the body appears as guerrilla, ie as operant
structure, an expression of both repression and liberation,
resistance and subversion.
