Luanda recebe esta quinta e sexta-feira uma reunião de ministros do Conselho de Paz e
Segurança da União Africana e esperam-se soluções concretas para os conflitos no
continente. Sudão do Sul e RDC estarão em destaque.

Luanda hosts this Thursday and Friday a meeting of ministers of the African Union Peace
and Security Council and concrete solutions to the conflicts on the continent are
expected. South Sudan and DRC will be highlighted.

Angola assumiu no domingo a presidência rotativa do Conselho de Paz e Segurança da

União Africana (UA) e a liderança arranca com uma reunião de ministros dedicada aos
temas da Paz e Segurança esta quinta e sexta-feira, em Luanda.
Angola took over the rotating presidency of the African Union (AU) Peace and Security
Council on Sunday and the leadership kicks off with a meeting of ministers dedicated to
the themes of peace and security this Thursday and Friday in Luanda.
周日安哥拉接任非洲联盟（非盟）和平与安全理事会轮值主席国，代表团将于本周四和
周五在罗安达举行专门讨论和平与安全主题的部长会议。

Manuel Augusto, ministro das Relações Exteriores de Angola, lembrou esta semana que
ainda há focos de conflito no continente e que a União Africana está atenta: "Estamos
preocupados com aqueles países onde ainda existem conflitos ou onde há conflitos
latentes", disse o ministro. ”"oje chama a atenção da UA e do seu processo de paz a
situação ainda prevalecente no sul do Sudão, onde está em curso um exercício para
implementação do chamado acordo revitalizado para Sul do Sudão", explicou.

Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto recalled this week that there are still hotbeds
of conflict on the continent and that the African Union is alert: "We are concerned about
those countries where there are still conflicts or where there are latent conflicts," the
minister said. "The attention of the AU and its peace process now draws attention to the
still prevailing situation in southern Sudan, where an army is under way to implement the
so-called revitalized agreement for southern Sudan," he explained.

O acordo foi assinado em setembro de 2018. Mas a violência continua no Sudão do Sul.
Rebeldes que ficaram de fora do acordo continuam a pegar nas armas para combater o
Governo. O país entrou em guerra há seis anos: 380 mil pessoas morreram e mais de
quatro milhões foram obrigadas a deixar as suas casas.

The deal was signed in September 2018. But violence continues in South Sudan. Rebels
who have been left out of the deal continue to take up arms to fight the government. The
country went to war six years ago: 380,000 people died and more than four million were
forced to leave their homes.
