- THEY are friends. – ELES são amigos.
- YOU are intelligent. – VOCÊ é inteligente.
- I am a teacher. - EU sou professora.

TEXTO 3
(agora), at the moment (no momento) e at the present (no presente; atualmente).
Observe os exemplos:
- She is talking to her mom now. (Ela está falando com a mãe dela agora.);
- She is American, but she's living in Canada at present.
Sujeito + verbo to be + verbo principal + ING + complemento
She is studyING English. (Ela está estudando Inglês)
A frase negativa tem a mesma estrutura, acrescida do NOT logo após do verbo “to be”.
Sujeito + verbo to be + NOT + verbo principal + ING + complemento
She is NOT studyING English. (Ela não está estudando Inglês)
E por fim, as frases interrogativas, trocamos o verbo “to be” de lugar com o sujeito:
Verbo “to be” + Sujeito + verbo principal + ING + complemento
IS she studying English?

Exemplos:
To take (pegar, tomar) - taking To come (vir, chegar) – coming

Igualdade
AS + adjetivo + AS
Exemplos:
Our first apartment was as comfortable as his. (Nosso primeiro apartamento era tão confortável
quanto o dele)
My sister speaks as fast as our father. (Minha irmã fala tão rápido quanto nosso pai)
Brazil is as charming as any country in the world. (O Brasil é tão encantador quanto qualquer país
do mundo)
Superioridade
Adjetivo + ER + THAN
Exemplos:
My dog and cat are bigger than yours.
Her work environment is nicer than ours.
History and Geography are funnier than biology and chemistry.
Exemplos:
That test is easier than I thought.
He was busier than usual at his work today.
trabalho hoje)
Peter was happier than his brother when his family decided to move.
