FATO RELEVANTE

CRÉDITO DE PIS E COFINS SOBRE AQUISIÇÕES DE APARAS

IRANI PAPEL E EMBALAGEM S.A. (“Companhia” ou “Irani”) (B3: RANI3) nos termos
da Lei nº 6.404/76 e em atendimento ao disposto na Resolução CVM nº 44/2021, comunica
aos seus acionistas e ao mercado em geral que transitou em julgado, na data de hoje,
decisão judicial favorável à Companhia reconhecendo o direito ao crédito de PIS e
Cofins sobre as aquisições de aparas, em razão da inconstitucionalidade do art. 47
da Lei 11.196/05, com efeito a partir de junho de 2010. A Companhia estima que o
crédito da referida ação judicial é de aproximadamente R$ 220 milhões de reais, e
que sua utilização deverá ocorrer nos próximos 2 anos via compensação com tributos
federais.

PIS AND COFINS CREDIT ON OCC (OLD CORRUGATED CARBOARD)

PURCHASES

IRANI PAPEL E EMBALAGEM S.A. (“Company” or “Irani”) (B3: RANI3) pursuant to

Law 6,404/76 and in compliance with the provisions of Resolution CVM No 44/2021,
informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on today’s date, it has become
final and unappealable the court’s decision favorable to the Company recognizing the
right to PIS and Cofins credit on the acquisition of OCC (Old Corrugated Carboard),
due to the unconstitutionality of art. 47 of Law 11,196/05, with effect from June 2010.
The Company estimates that the credit of the referred lawsuit is approximately R$ 220
million reais, and that its use should occur in the next 2 years to offset federal taxes.
