Segundo a Associação Brasileira e Empresas de Eventos

(ABEOC), o segmento de turismo de negócios e eventos

movimenta cerca de US$ 4 trilhões por ano no mundo.
No Brasil, o setor engloba uma média de 80 milhões de
participantes por ano, em 300 mil eventos e 160 grandes feiras -
o que movimenta mais de 50 setores da economia.

De acordo com a Secretaria de Desenvolvimento e Turismo de

Uberlândia, 5,5% dos empregos de Uberlândia estão ligados ao
trade turístico. O turismo de negócios depende, essencialmente,
do desenvolvimento econômico da cidade e isso faz com que
Uberlândia acompanhe o fluxo e o
crescimento desse setor.

Para fomentar o turismo de negócio e eventos, a cidade conta

com o apoio do Uberlândia Convention & Visitors Bureau -
UC&VB, entidade sem fins lucrativos, fundada pela união da
Prefeitura Municipal de Uberlândia com a iniciativa privada.
O UC&VB atua na captação, planejamento, promoção, geração
e apoio aos eventos da cidade, com o intuito de aumentar o
fluxo turístico e promover o desenvolvimento econômico e
social da cidade.

about $ 4 trillion per year worldwide. In Brazil, the sector includes an average of 80 million participants a year, 300,000 events
and 160 major fairs - which involves more than 50 sectors of the economy.
According to the Department of Development and Tourism of Uberlândia, 5.5% of jobs in Uberlândia are linked to the tourist
trade. Business tourism depends essentially on the city’s economic development and this makes Uberlândia accompany the flow
and growth of this sector.

To foster business tourism and events, the city has the support of the Uberlândia Convention & Visitors Bureau - UC&VB,
a nonprofit organization, founded by the union of the Municipality of Uberlândia with the private sector. UC&VB works in
attracting, planning, promoting, generating and supporting events for the city, in order to increase the tourist flow and promote
the economic and social development of the city.
