Every day, from the moment we wake up, we use
different kinds of energy. Sometimes we do it so
automatically that we don’t even pay attention to
what we are doing. We take energy for granted.
To take something or someone for granted:
it happens when we accept without question or
objection, often implying a lack of appreciation or
gratitude. (= to presume)
Example: Many people take for granted the fact
that they have access to clean water.
