As cidades de Maputo e Matola, ficaram paralisadas dois dias seguidos, devi-
dos as manifestações violentas que resultaram em cerca de 10 mortes, mais
de uma centena de feridos e danos materiais avultados. As manifestações
dos dias 1 e 2 de Setembro, deveram-se ao elevado custo de vida no País.

HOMENAGEM TRIBUTE
Um acto motivado pelas obras An act motivated by the works of
da vida e não pela idade. life and not by age.
Quando falamos em homenagem, muitos são os aspec-
tos intervenientes e decisivos para se homenagear alguém
Estes aspectos são classificados pelas obras de vida, pelo
empenho na sociedade, de modo geral, o contributo a pessoa
exerce em benefício da sociedade. Foram estes factores que
pesaram na decisão em homenagear os casais vulneráveis e a
apresentadora Kátia Vaenessa, no passado dia 21 de Agosto.
A homenagem culminou com a entrega dos primeiros títulos
de membro honorário a Kátia Vanessa e o ISCTEM.
Ser homenageado não é um acto guiado pela idade,
e nem por obrigação... Deve ser sim um acto de reconheci-
mento que insta a difusão das acções do homenageado para
a sociedade em geral, diria até que é oficializar o papel pre-
ponderante que a pessoa tem para a sociedade. É certo que
a idade é o reflexo da experiência e do caminho andado,
mas não é o reflexo das qualidades humanas, e dinamismo,
que esta mesma pessoa exerce na vida, porque aquele que
trabalha deve ser reconhecido e premiado, e a melhor pre-
miação não é material, a melhor premiação, é ter o respeito
e sobretudo o reconhecimento. Não devemos esperar que a
pessoa atinja uma idade que a gente julgue propícia para a
homenagem. Devemos olhar sim as obras da vida que esta
mesma pessoa já edificou na vida das pessoas, em benefício
mutuo. Arrisco-me a dizer que são muitas as organizações
que seguem o critério da idade para poder fazer alguma hom-
enagem, fazem-no, muitas vezes, por motivos de varia ordem,
como por exemplo, pelo estado de saúde e da idade da pessoa
a ser homenageada.
A homenagem deve ser algo que vem do fundo do cora-
ção, pois este acto transparece e leva para fora a nossa admi-
ração pelas acções das pessoas.já diz o Colaborador da Visão
Info, Dr. Eduardo Cruz, o empresário enfrenta um problema
que é de trabalhar a empresa e não na empresa, tornando-se
deste modo escravo dela.
A VJM continuara a reconhecer aqueles que realmente
merecem, sem exclusão social, cultural e económica Para a
VJM, o que conta são as acções que vão de acordo com a
nossa filosofia, os bons devem ser reconhecidos, até porque
os bons, não se reconhecem a si mesmos.

When we speak of honor, there are many aspects in-
volved and decisive to honor someone These aspects are clas-
sified by the works of life, commitment to society in general,
the contribution the person has the benefit of society. These
were factors that weighed in the decision to honor those cou-
ples vulnerable and presenter Katia Vaenessa, on 21 August.
The ceremony culminated with the delivery of the first titles of
honorary member of the Katia and Vanessa ISCTEM.
Being honored is not an act guided by age, and not an
obligation ... Should be rather an act of recognition which
urges the dissemination of the actions of honored to society
in general, would even say that it is officially the leading role
that the person has to society. It is true that age is a reflection
of experience and the battle, but is not a reflection of human
qualities and dynamism that this person has in life, as one
who works should be recognized and rewarded, and the best
reward is not material, the best reward is to have respect and
above all the recognition. We should not expect the person
reaches an age that we deem suitable for the honor. We must
look rather works of life that this person has built in people’s
lives in mutual benefit. I venture to say that there are many
organizations that follow the criterion of age to do some honor,
do it often, for various reasons, such as the health status and
age of the person being honoree.

heart, because this measure emerges and takes out our ad-

A VJM esta a procura de apoio para transportar
computadores, resultante de uma doação apartir da terra
da sua Majestade (Inglatera). A oferta que vem por parte
da Aid Computer International, surge actravés de um es-
forço articulado pelo representante e parceiro da VJM em
Londres, o músico Tony Matola (Marrambique Music).
Os Computadores que eram em número de 10, pas-
saram para 20. Esta oferta vem responder ao pedido for-
mulado pela VJM para o Projecto: Um Computador,
Várias formações, que irá consistir na formação, em In-
formática, dos jovens de baixa renda social e económica,
numa primeira fase nos Distritos de Marracuene e Manja-
caze, nas províncias de Maputo e Gaza, respectivamente.
O projecto tem como objectivos pproporcionar uma for-
mação técnico-profissional em software, hardware e internet;
Transmitir o conhecimento básico da informática; Promover
os meios de utilização da informática no dia-a-dia; Promover a
iniciação dos participantes no conhecimento da informática,
habilitando-os a trabalhar como usuários dos programas bási-
cos das tecnologias de informação e da Internet, possibilitan-
to uma maior inclusão no mercado de trabalho e na sociedade.
A VJM, tem vindo a emitir pedidos de apoios, no intu-
ito de transprtar os computadores apartir da Ingalterra para
Moçambique, visto que antes o custo estava orçado em 900.00
euros, passando para 1.565.00 euros, estando até aqui somente
duas individualidades que se prontificaram em apoiar no pag-
amento parcial do valor, Nomeadamente, FORMEDIA-Institu-
to Europeu de Empresários e Gestores, uma empresa sediada
em Portugal, e Dara Rodrigues, cidadão vivendo em Londres.

The VJM is looking for support to carry comput-
ers, resulting in a starting donation of land from his Maj-
esty (Inglatera). The offer comes from the Computer
Aid International, ACTRAV arises from a concerted ef-
fort by the representative and partner of VJM in Lon-
don, the musician Tony Matola (Marrambique Music).
The computers that were 10 in number, went to 20.
This offer is an answer to a request from VJM for Project:
One Computer, Multiple formations, which will consist in
training, Computers, young low-income social and eco-
nomic, initially in the Districts of Marracuene Manjacaze
and in the provinces of Maputo and Gaza, respectively.
The project aims pproporcionar a technical-profession-
al training in software, hardware and internet transmit basic
knowledge of computers, the means of promoting use of informa-
tion technology in day-to-day; promote the initiation of the par-
ticipants knowledge of computers, enabling them to work as the
mainstream users of information technology and the Internet,
possibilitanto greater inclusion in the labor market and society.
The VJM, has issued requests for support in order to con-
veyances of computers starting Ingalterra for Mozambique,
since before the cost was estimated at 900.00 euros, rising to
1.565.00 euros, while so far only two individuals who were will-
ing to assist in partial payment of the value, particular, Formed-
European Institute of Business and Management, a company
based in Portugal, and Dara Roberts, a citizen living in London.

No artigo anterior, desenvolvemos na ótica dos tra-
balhos de Michael Gerber e da E-Myth Academy, o Ponto de
Vista E-Myth e os seus 5 Princípios.
Mostramos que para o sucesso do empresário na con-
strução da sua empresa, é necesário, para ter uma visão estra-
tégica da sua vida, da sua empresa, e da relação entre ambas,
dar atenção a cinco principios essenciais:
1. O principio da sua vida;
2. O principio da liderança;
3. O principio de trabalhar a empresa, em vez de tra-
balhar para a empresa;
4. O princípio da sistemização;
5. O principio do desenvolvimento da empresa.
Já pensou como estes cinco princípios podem ser de-
senvolvidos em Moçambique, pelos seus empresários e ge-
stores, na administração pública ou privada, ou ainda em or-
ganizações sem fins lucrativos?
Neste artigo, vamos passar a tratar do seu objectivo
principal, enquanto empresário que é, ou pode vir a ser.
Desenvolveremos primeiro três ideias sobre o seu ob-
jectivo principal:
• É a essência da sua razão de existir.
• É uma pequena declaração resumindo o que existe
dentro de si como fonte da sua vitalidade, do seu compro-
misso, da sua paixão pelo que está construindo na sua orga-
nização.
• Dá-lhe a capacidade de viver a sua vida intencional-
mente, e não ao acaso, fazendo escolhas conscientes e consis-
tentes com o que é mais importante para si.
A sua razão de existir

Para seu eventual espanto, diremos que o objectivo
pessoal tem a ver com a sua vida, e não com o seu negócio,
nem com a sua empresa. Se é um empresário, o seu negócio é
apenas um dos aspectos importantes da sua vida.
O seu objectivo principal é a essência do seu projecto
de vida. É uma pequena declaração que reume tudo o que
dentro de si é vitalidade, emoção, paixão, amor, carinho, en-
tusiasmo, motivação para fazer algo de importante para si na
sua vida.
O seu objectivo pessoal não tem a ver com coisas mate-
riais: não tem a ver com a empresa, nem o automóvel, nem a
roupa de luxo... tem a ver com a SUA vida.
O seu Objectivo Principal é a fonte da sua vitalidade, do
seu empenhamento, da visão que precisa para tirar o máximo
partido da sua vida e para, entretanto, ir criando um negócio
notável, interessante, rentável. É isso que o motiva para atin-
gir os níveis mais altos de energia e que o mantém no longo
trajecto.
O Escondido Objectivo Principal
A grande maioria das pessoas não tem presente o seu
Objectivo Principal. Ele está lá, algures dentro de nós, escon-
dido ou esquecido, mas a maioria de nós ainda não o desco-
briu. O seu objectivo principal está escondido?
Isso é assim tão importante? Bem, de facto, é. Aperce-
ber-se do seu Objectivo Principal permite-lhe viver com uma
intenção, em vez de viver por acidente, ao sabor do acaso.
Esta é a única razão para se dar ao trabalho de descobrir
o seu Objectivo Principal. Caso contrário, pode simplesmente
viver à deriva; corra esse risco e prepare-se para viver com as
alegrias ou triztezas que lhe surgirem no caminho.
A maior parte das pessoas não sabe muito bem quais
são os seus valores fundamentais e muitas têm ideias erradas
sobre esses seus valores.
Todos conhecemos pessoas que lutaram para atingir
um determinado nível elevado apenas para descobrirem,
depois de o atingirem, que o seu sucesso é oco e de alguma
forma insatisfatório.
Também todos conhecemos pessoas com vidas bem
sucedidas (no sentido convencional ou não), que se sentem
profundamente satisfeitas. A diferença é que, no primeiro
caso, o “sucesso” não está em consonância com o Objectivo
Principal. No segundo caso, o Objectivo Principal foi aten-
dido.
Quem é que conhece que tenha atingido o seu Objec-
tivo Principal?
Parece estranho que haja tanta gente que não saiba lá
muito bem qual é o seu Objectivo Principal porque todos nós
temos um barómetro interior que nos diz (se dermos atenção)
quando lhe tocamos, e se lhe tocamos negativa ou positiva-
mente. Qual é esse barómetro? As nossas emoções.
 Como é que encontra o seu Objectivo Principal?
O processo que o levará a compreender claramente o
seu Objectivo Principal, é absolutamente pessoal. Onde é que
o vai encontrar? Na Televisão? A ver um jogo de futebol? A
namorar? Na Visão Jovem Moçambicana?
É Tudo Sobre Si
O Seu Objectivo Principal é único para si. É aquilo que
você realmente quer para si. Não tem nada a ver com obriga-
ções para com os outros nem com o que os outros esperam
de si.
Pense apenas em si e como quer que a sua vida seja.
Isto é difícil para muitos de nós. Estamos habituados a pôr
os outros em primeiro lugar ou a assumir responsabilidades
por eles. Por agora, deixe cair todas essas responsabilidades e
“deveres”. Preocupe-se primeiro apenas consigo e pense nos
seus próprios interesses. Pense nos seus sonhos e fantasias.
Procure chegar ao que você quer.
Sinta-se à vontade para deixar que os seus sonhos se
elevem sem barreiras, sem problemas de consciência e sem
preocupações com as expectativas dos outros.
Procure a chama da sua Paixão
Procure dentro de si, bem fundo e honestamente, des-
cubra o que realmente quer da vida, exprima essa ideia numa
declaração breve e utilize-a como um farol interior sempre
que estiver a planear e a gerir o seu negócio.
Procure intimamente o seu fogo sagrado, a fonte da sua
adrenalina, a chama da sua paixão.
O Processo para descobrir o seu Objectivo Princi-
pal
O Objectivo Principal é uma questão de descoberta e
não uma invenção. Você não vai criar o seu Objectivo Princi-
pal. Ele já existe dentro de si. O Processo do Objectivo Prin-
cipal é uma forma de descobrir o que já existe. É um método
que utilizamos com empresários e gestores, para ajudar cada
um, individualmente, a chegar ao seu Objectivo Principal.
Comece o Processo do Objectivo Principal, listando aq-
uilo que quer e que não quer na sua vida. Depois, recorra ao
raciocínio e aos sentimentos para reduzir a lista ao que real-
mente quer e ao que realmente não quer. A seguir, identifique
o que está no meio do caminhodo seu Objectivo Principal.
Finalmente, escreva o uma declaração breve da essên-
cia do seu Objectivo Principal. 5 linhas. Uma página. O resto
já é demais, “conversa da treta”. Corte. Resuma. Sintetize.
Melhore.
O processo dá algum trabalho, exige algum esforço,
pode, por vezes, ser esgotante, mas quase sempre traz benefí-
cios, e é uma das coisas mais valiosas que alguma vez poderá
fazer por si.
Os 5 Passos para o Objectivo Principal

Este processo tem cinco passos:
1. O que você não quer
2. O que você quer
3. Estabeleça prioridades e derrube barreiras
4. O seu elogio fúnebre
5. O Objectivo Principal
O que você não quer
Faça uma lista daquilo que não quer na sua vida. Liste
aquelas coisas que no seu dia-a-dia. Sobretudo no emprego,
mas também em casa e com os seus amigos, coisas que o
aborrecem e contrariam.
Não pense muito sobre cada item. Quando terminar,
leia a sua lista. Agora, pense cuidadosamente sobre cada
item. Esteja atento às sensações que cada um lhe desperta.
Marque os items que lhe provocaram as emoções negativas
mais fortes, as questões que menos quer que façam parte da
sua vida. Seleccione alguns items; concentre-se nos mais im-
portantes.
O que você quer
Faça outra grande lista daquilo que quer na sua sua
vida. Evite as questões materiais e dinheiro - têm pouco ou
nada a ver com o seu Objectivo Principal. Como antes, leia
a lista e marque os items que mais quer que façam parte da
sua vida.
A seguir, marque os mais atractivos, os que lhe desper-
taram as sensações mais positivas. Marque apenas alguns -
um, dois ou, no máximo, meia dúzia. Estes devem ser fonte de
desafios, de prazer e de paixão para si.
Estabeleça prioridades e destrua barreiras
O processo começa a ser mais aliciante. Copie os items
marcados na sua lista do que quer para outra folha. À medida
que copia, pense sobre cada um deles e tente organizá-los por
ordem de importância.
Seguidamente, pense no que há como obstáculos para
cada um deles. O que é que o impede de realizar os seus dese-
jos.
Finalmente, identifique as limitações que se impõe a
si próprio. Que barreiras põe no seu próprio caminho, com
ideias sobre si próprio que o limitem, e com hábitos contra-
produtivos.
Escreva o seu elogio fúnebre
Todos nós tendemos a pensar que somos eternos. To-
davia a morte é uma certeza absoluta da nossa existência. Ela
apanha-nos muitas vezes totalmente desprevenidos. Irreme-
diavelmente.
Pois bem. Pense naquele longínquo dia da sua morte.
Pense que todos os que são mais importantes para si estão
reunidos no seu funeral. O que gostaria de lhes dizer? Ou o
que gostaria que dissessem de si? Como gostaria de ser lem-
brado?

Agora vai ter que escrever o seu próprio discurso fúne-
bre. O que quer que ele refira? Como é que quer ser recor-
dado? Que imagem da sua vida gostaria de deixar a todos
aqueles que lhe são mais queridos: familiares, amigos, por-
ventura colegas de trabalho...
Escreva o seu Objectivo Principal
Depois deste trabalho de reflexão íntima sobre si mes-
mo, vai ficar admirado com algumas das suas descobertas.
Talvez nunca tivesse pensado que...
No mínimo de palavras possível, escreva uma declara-
ção da essência do seu Objectivo Principal. Tente escrever
apenas uma expressão ou uma frase simples que exprima aq-
uilo que é mais importante para si.
Uma pequena declaração sua
Essa pequena declaração ajuda-o a definir as suas
próprias prioridades na sua empresa. A sua liderança começa
por aqui. Escreva!
Dá-lhe a capacidade de viver a sua vida com uma in-
tenção
Depois de identificar o seu Objectivo Principal, como
é que vai viver o seu dia a dia de modo a trazê-lo para a sua
vida? Objectivos pessoais são uma forma eficaz de o fazer. Se
a sua vida é como um puzzle e o seu Objectivo Principal é a
chave para o grande quadro, então os objectivos pessoais são
as peças do puzzle.
Os objectivos pessoais são as coisas específicas que
você quer realizar num determinado período de tempo. Ao
pensar na sua vida nos próximos seis meses, no próximo ano,
nos próximos cinco anos, pode criar a quantidade de objecti-
vos pessoais que quiser para obter da vida o que quer.
O padrão dos seus objectivos pessoais molda o padrão
da sua vida. Se escolher os seus objectivos pessoais cuidados-
amente, eles irão mantê-lo em harmonia com o seu Objectivo
Principal.
Onde se Encaixa a sua Empresa?
O seu negócio é um veículo importante, talvez o veícu-
lo mais importante, através do qual pode atingir o seu Ob-
jectivo Principal. Se ele vai contribuir para a vida que você
quer, o seu negócio tem que estar ao serviço do seu Objectivo
Principal.
Isso pode acontecer de duas maneiras. Pode escolher
desenvolver o seu negócio de forma a que o deixe livre para
se dedicar a outros interesses, ou o negócio pode ser ele mes-
mo o reflexo da verdadeira essência do que é mais importante
para a sua vida.
O Que Realmente Interessa
Se chegou à conclusão que a descoberta do seu Objec-
tivo Principal é uma das coisas mais importantes que poderá
obter, então está no caminho certo. Pode parecer-lhe um

pouco estranho que para pôr o seu negócio em ordem (ou
a sua actividade académica, ou o seu papel como dirigente
duma associação), tenha primeiro que olhar para dentro de si
próprio, mas a nossa experiência, diz-nos que isso não é nada
estranho.
No princípio e no fim da sua empresa, da organização
onde trabalha quando tudo for dito e feito, no fim da linha, já
todos sabemos, está você.

We show that for a successful entrepreneur in the con-

Their reason to exist
To their eventual dismay, we say that the personal goal
has to do with your life, not your business or with your com-
pany. If you are an entrepreneur, your business is just one im-
portant aspect of your life.
Its main objective is the essence of his life project. It is a

emotion, passion, love, affection, enthusiasm, motivation for
doing something important for you in your life.
His personal goal has nothing to do with material things:
it has to do with the company nor the car nor luxury clothing ...

exists within. The Main Objective Process is a way of discov-
ering what already exists. It is a method used with entrepre-

Start the Process of Purpose Principal, listing what they
want and do not want in your life. Then, refer to the reasoning
and feelings to reduce the list to what you really want and what
they really do not want. Next, identify what is in the midst of

main purpose. 5 lines. One page. The rest is too much, “Talk of

PARA QUANDO O “LOBBY” AFRICANO?
“Vejo África como uma parte fundamental do nosso mun-
do interconectado, como parceiros com a América em nome
do futuro que queremos para as nossas crianças. Essa parceria
deve ser aterrada na responsabilidade mútua e respeito mútuo. “
Presidente Obama, Accra, Ghana, Julho de 2009
Este artigo pretende dar a dar a reflectir sobre as
oportunidades que a Africa tem estado a perder no sistema
internacional por não estar organizada internamente.
Neste ano, dezassete países da África subsahariana
comemoram cinquenta anos de independência. Em hom-
enagem a este importante momento histórico, o presidente
Obama organizou um fórum para 115 jovens líderes Africa-
nos em Washington, DC, de 3 a 5 de Agosto corrente. Os
115 jovens líderes representavam a sociedade civil e o sec-
tor privado de mais de 40 países na África sub-sahariana.
Questão para reflexão: quando e como os nos-
sos jovens “representantes” pensam em partil-
har a sua experiência com o país? Podem trans-
mitir a experiência através de artigos, palestras, etc.
A Administração de Obama enfatiza que “a respon-
sabilidade mútua deve ser a base para a parceria entre Af-
rica e América, tendo identificado quatro áreas críticas para
o futuro da África: fortalecimento e sustentabilidade da
democracia, oportunidades e desenvolvimento, fortaleci-
mento da saúde pública, e a resolução pacífica de conflitos.
Questão: Até que ponto nós Africanos estamos
interessados numa democracia forte e sustentável?
Até que ponto estamos dispostos a partilhar oportu-
nidades sem olhar para as cores políticas, étnicas, etc?
Até que ponto estamos dispostos em re-
solver pacificamente os nossos conflitos? Vide
a Guiné Bissau e tirai as vossas conclusões.
No plano da Saúde Pública, em Maio de 2009, o
Presidente Obama anunciou o Global Health Initiative
(GHI), iniciativa de seis anos, orçada em 63.000 milhões
de dólares que tem por base o progresso e o sucesso do

Plano de Emergência do Presidente para o Alívio de do
SIDA (vulgo PEPFAR). Esta iniciativa inclui investimen-
tos para a capacitação dos sistemas de saúde em África.
Sobre as crises, os EUA afirmam o seu empenho numa
estratégia de resolução dos conflitos do Sudão, Somália,
República Democrática do Congo, Guiné-Bissau, entre outras.
Questão: Até que ponto os actores in-
ternos nesses países se têm engajado?
Quanto ao reforço do sector privado, os EUA
afirmam o seu engajamento no impulsionamen-
to ao comércio com o continente negro através do
African Growth Opportunity Act (vulgo AGOA).
Questão para reflexão: até que pon-
to Moçambique tem se beneficiado do AGOA?
A Administração Obama refere-se ao en-
gajamento do alto nível através dos seus contac-
tos físicos (visitas) com alguns líderes Africanos.
Tal foi com o Ghana em 2009, envolvendo o próprio presi-
dente Obama. Outros encontros envolveram a Secretária de Es-
tado, Hillary Clinton na sua visita a África do Sul, Angola, Cabo
Verde, Nigeria, Quénia, e República Democrática do Congo.
A Administração Obama apresenta in-
úmeras acções visando elucidar a sua inicia-
tiva de engajamento com o continente Africano.
Quais são as iniciativas que o continente Afri-
cano desenhou para explorar o relacionamento com
os EUA, e a Administração Obama em particular?
Não nos vangloriamos tanto de ter um “fil-
ho com sangue africano” na Casa Branca, há um
ano? Como temos tentado tirar o proveito disso?
Quando Chika Oneyani (2000) faz comparação en-
tre a raça negra e um povo similar, ele busca os judeus. Ele
diz que temos em comum a história de rejeição. Entretanto,
divergimo-nos na solução... Os judeus sofreram a diáspora
e o holocausto, mas após a II Guerra Mundial juraram usar
a sua inteligência para nunca mais voltar a sofrer. Hoje
esse povo controla a informação, a opinião pública, a políti-
ca externa dos EUA, a riqueza global, o conhecimento, etc.
Sabiam até que a Chelsea Clinton, filha do
Bill e Hillary Clinton casou com um judeu? Para
 dizer que até o futuro é controlado pelos judeus.
Nos EUA, há instituições específi-
cas para tratar do lobby judeu. A mais influente
é o AIPAC. Podem conferir em www.aipac.org
Esta instituição faz lobby com qualquer candi-
dato à presidência dos EUA antes de assumir o poder.
Ela assegura-se que os interesses dos judeus estarão
protegidos e em seguida financiam as campanhas, tan-
to do lado dos Republicanos como dos Democratas.
Não é só nos EUA... na Europa também ex-
iste o poder judeu. Sabiam que o Presidente Ni-
colas Sarkozy da França tem raízes judias?
Questão: Quando é que os Africanos farão o seu lob-
by internacional? Quando é que ultrapassaremos as nos-
sas diferenças e veremos que temos problemas comuns
que têm que ser resolvidos comumente? Não é sempre
que se tem um filho Africano no centro de poder... Pense-
mos nisso! Analisando a trajectória do Congresso, Senado
e outras instituições de poder americanos, não há nen-
hum nome Africano sonante para os próximos dez anos,
tanto do lado dos Democratas como dos Republicanos.

This article intends to give to reflect on the op-
portunities that Africa has been losing in the inter-
national system for not being organized internally.
This year, seventeen countries in sub-Saharan Africa
celebrate fifty years of independence. In honor of this impor-
tant moment in history, President Obama organized a forum
for 115 young African leaders in Washington, DC, 3 to August 5
chain. The 115 young leaders representing civil society and the
private sector from over 40 countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
Question for reflection: when and how our youth “repre-
sentatives” think to share your experience with the country?
Can convey the experience through articles, lectures, etc..
The Obama Administration, stresses that “mu-
tual accountability should be the basis for the partner-
ship between Africa and America and identifies four
critical areas for the future of Africa: strengthening and sustain-
ability of democracy, opportunity and development, strength-
ening of public health and the resolution Peaceful conflict.
Question: How far we Africans are interested in a strong
democracy and sustainable? How far are we willing to share
opportunities without regard to color political, ethnic, etc?
How far are we willing to peacefully resolve our con-
flicts? See Guinea Bissau and take away your conclusions.
In terms of Public Health in May 2009, President Obama
announced the Global Health Initiative (GHI), an initia-

Question: When is that Africans will make their in-
ternational lobby? When will we overcome our differences
and see that we have common problems that must be solved
frequently? It is not often that one has an African child in
the center of power ... Think about it! Analyzing the trajec-
tory of Congress, Senate and other institutions of American
power, there are no African-sounding name for the next ten
years, affecting both the Democrats and the Republicans.

O VALOR DO DINHEIRO
A relação das crianças com o dinheiro é algo que
preocupa os pais. Habitualmente questionam-se sobre a
forma como poderão transmitir-lhes os valores familiares.
O orçamento familiar, o preço dos bens essenciais, o
valor da mochila, o valor de um par de sapatos... Há quem faça
participar os seus filhos nestas questões, enquanto que outros,
pelo contrário, os preservam e mantêm afastados de todos os
assuntos relacionados com o dinheiro. No entanto, numa so-
ciedade onde o consumo é um elemento de destaque, o valor do
dinheiro deve ser precocemente compreendido pelas crianças.
Eu quero uma playstation...
Eu quero uma mochila nova...
Uma característica das crianças é a necessidade imedi-
ata com que precisam de satisfazer as suas necessidades. E os
caprichos são uma clara manifestação dessa impossibilidade
de esperar. O seu psiquismo infantil rege-se principalmente
pelo princípio do prazer, através do qual - como o seu nome in-
dica - a criança quer evitar a frustração, procurando a satisfa-
ção de uma forma imediata. A esta premissa obrigatoriamente
começará a opor-se outra, conhecida como o princípio da reali-
dade, que permitirá à criança suportar a espera, adaptando-se
às condições impostas por cada situação, pelos outros e pelo
social. Para o conseguir, é necessária a ajuda dos pais, dado
que se não encontrarem um equilíbrio entre os seus pedidos
e a satisfação dos mesmos, as crianças irão sentir pouco essa
imposição de limites, o que lhes provocará inevitavelmente
uma dificuldade em lidar com a frustração e com o “não”.
O IMPRESCINDÍVEL E O DISPENSÁVEL
O ideal é que, pouco a pouco, a criança vá entendendo
que entre ela e as coisas que tanto deseja, existe um passo
intermédio, que é preenchido pelo dinheiro. Só nessa altura
começará a compreender o valor do dinheiro como moeda de

troca. Quando uma criança pede alguma coisa e os pais não
podem corresponder a esse desejo, muitos pais sentem-se an-
gustiados e em falta com a criança. Poder distinguir que há
milhões de coisas que não são importantes nem necessárias e
conversar sobre estes temas com as crianças, permitir-lhes-á
ir distinguindo o imprescindível daquilo que é dispensável. É
importante que as crianças possam conhecer as razões que
apoiam essas escolhas e entendam que os pais têm de trabalhar
duramente para receberem o dinheiro que permitirá manter
todas as necessidades familiares e alguns dos seus caprichos.
O dinheiro como retribuição
É tarefa dos pais transmitir-lhes desde pequenos que
o dinheiro se obtém em troca do esforço laboral. As crian-
ças não compreendem facilmente a relação do dinheiro
com o trabalho. No entanto, é necessário ter em atenção
que somente por volta dos 8 anos de idade é que estas as-
sociações começam a ter algum sentido para as crianças.
Nesta idade as crianças já começam a ter um ponto de vis-
ta menos egocêntrico do mundo à sua volta e podem esta-
belecer conexões entre as causas e as suas consequências.
A SEMANADA
Muito embora só a partir dos 10 ou 12 anos as crian-
ças comecem a manejar melhor a possibilidade de admin-
istrar o dinheiro, hoje em dia, muitos pais já dão uma sem-
anada aos filhos muito mais cedo, dada a necessidade que
a criança tem de adquirir diariamente alguns bens nos es-
tabelecimentos de ensino. É importante acompanhá-las nas
primeiras decisões, conversando com elas sobre o destino
que irão dar a esse dinheiro. Se a quantia destinada para du-
rar uma semana contempla uma verba diária, pode aconte-
cer que em determinada ocasião, a criança se sinta tentada
a gastar tudo no primeiro dia. Então, será essencial que os
pais verifiquem as causas, e perante elas, decidirem se lhe
devem dar mais dinheiro durante essa semana. Se a criança
decidiu gastar tudo de uma vez, tendo consciência disso, é
uma opção que se deverá respeitar, embora devam acon-
selhar a criança a organizar melhor o seu dinheiro. A ideia
é acompanhá-la neste processo de aprendizagem, permit-
indo-lhe enganar-se mas ensinando-lhe as consequências.
Talvez na próxima semana já seja um pouco mais precavida…
Se é uma criança excessivamente poupada, e an-
tes prefere guardar a sua mesada do que gastar o din-
heiro, podemos propor-lhe algum sistema de poupan-
ça em particular, ou então ensiná-la a fazer uso dele e
a desfrutar também de gastá-lo nas suas necessidades.
GRÃOZINHO A GRÃOZINHO
Um mealheiro permite fomentar nas crianças a ideia da
poupança, e pode ser uma boa oportunidade para aprender a
suportar a ansiedade de gastar dinheiro e aprender a reservar
pelo menos uma parte para atingir um objectivo. O dinheiro
que recebe como prenda de anos ou de Natal, o excedente da
semanada e as ofertas dos avós podem contribuir para que
a criança possa iniciar o seu pequeno aforro. Cada vez que
a criança insere um valor no seu mealheiro, os pais devem
aproveitar a oportunidade para lhe explicar que aquele val-
or serviria, por exemplo, para comprar dois gelados ou para
comprar um jogo para a sua consola. Desta forma, a criança
começa a ter consciência do valor das quantias em causa.
APRENDER A CONTAR
Para compreender o valor do dinheiro é imprescindível
que as crianças saibam contar. Isto permitir-lhes-á saber se
 uma coisa custa mais do que outra, se têm de esperar pelo
troco ou se o dinheiro que deram chega para pagar o que
querem comprar. Todo este processo leva tempo, porque a
noção dos números incorpora-se lentamente. Em suma, em-
bora seja uma tarefa complexa. O importante é ensinar as
crianças a manipular o dinheiro responsavelmente, serem
generosas sem esbanjarem, serem organizadas sem se torna-
rem avarentas, serem honestas, tornarem-se consumidoras
comedidas e atribuírem ao dinheiro um lugar mais dentro
das necessidades pessoais e não o lugar mais importante.

Laulane, areas that were heavily affected by events in the city of
Maputo, creating serious problems of trafficability of vehicles

sultaram em cerca de 10 mortes, mais de uma centena de feri-
dos e danos materiais avultados. As manifestações dos dias 1

de Hulene e Laulane, zonas que foram intensamente

Você pode não notar, mas ao encontrar uma pessoa
que parece familiar na rua, a primeira coisa que vai procurar
reconhecer são os olhos dela. Isso é o que diz uma pesquisa
feita por psicólogos da Universidade de Barcelona na Es-
panha. Na verdade estudos anteriores haviam mostrado que
o cérebro humano trabalha com baixas frequências espaciais
para reconhecer a face alheia, ou seja, se atém a elementos
básicos que compõe uma imagem sem entrar em grandes de-
talhes como por exemplo, sinais de idade no rosto da pessoa.
O pesquisador Mathias Keil usou um modelo com-
putadorizado que reproduz o sistema visual do cérebro
para analisar fotos de rostos de 868 mulheres e 868 ho-
mens e achar aspectos comuns. Através de imagens de
detalhes faciais, o sistema deveria encontrar o rosto cor-
respondente. Com isso, ele descobriu que era mais fácil
para o cérebro reconhecer a pessoa pelos olhos, seguin-
do depois para o formato da boca e finalmente o do nariz.
Segundo Keil, os olhos têm a capacidade de oferecer uma
imagem menos ruidosa para ser processada no reconhecimento
ao contrário de outras características faciais. “Isso sugere que
os mecanismos cerebrais de identificação facial se especial-
izaram em olhos”, disse Keil. Os resultados da pesquisa foram
publicados no jornal especializado Computational Biology.

You may not notice, but to find someone who looks
familiar in the street, the first thing you are trying to rec-
ognize her eyes. That’s what it says a survey by psycholo-
gists at the University of Barcelona in Spain. Indeed previ-
ous studies have shown that the human brain works with

tado esperado, um olhar sexy e natural”, disse a esteticista.
Para finalizar o tratamento Carol aconselha a tintura
dos cílios, pois assim o olho já fica quase pronto, bastará
apenas aplicar a sombra e o lápis delineador. “A tintura
dos cílios dá um brilho no olhar, principalmente para mul-
heres que têm os cílios claros. A diferença é notável”.
O procedimento completo, com o permanente e a tin-
tura, fica em torno de $150. Pessoas com hipersensibilidade
nas pálpebras não devem se submeter ao procedimento.

O MWENJE ESTÁ A ACABAR!
A TIMBILA, obra-prima e património cultural
da humanidade, está em risco de desaparecer porque o
mwenje, árvore que fornece madeira para produzir a tim-
bila, está em extinção. A situação é tal forma grave que
nos arriscamos a dizer que nos próximos anos poderemos
não ter mais os instrumentos porque a árvore que pro-
duz timbila está a desaparecer a um ritmo vertiginoso.
Se há cinco anos ainda era possível encontrar uma e
outra árvore de mwenje no circuito entre Mavila e Quis-
sico, hoje, em quase toda a extensão do distrito de Zavala
não se encontra uma árvore sequer. Isso é preocupante!
Actualmente, esta árvore somente se encontra
nas matas dos distritos de Massinga, Vilanculos e Mor-
rumbene. Mas em quantidades extremamente reduzidas.
E agora, mais não falta aos marimbeiros senão chorar,
pois não vislumbram soluções à sua altura. Ademais,
muitos dos timbileiros não têm dinheiro que lhes permita
viajarem para zonas distantes em busca desta madeira.
Se no passado podíamos somente nos preocupar-
mos em dar a conhecer aos moçambicanos e ao mundo,
hoje isso não é suficiente. Já não basta nos vangloriarmos
pelo facto de termos conseguido elevar a timbila à catego-
ria de Património Cultural da Humanidade, e, por isso, des-
cansarmos sob a batuta do m’saho. A protecção e preser-
vação são importantes. Mas também falar de proteger a
timbila passa necessariamente pela protecção do mwenje.
E uma das estratégias a adoptar seria, a nív-
el da província de Inhambane e noutras partes do
país, tornar as matas onde ocorre o mwenje reser-
vas do Estado, e, portanto, zonas protegidas.
E na última edição do m’saho, que teve lugar de 27
a 29 do mês em curso, em Quissico, Zavala, esta questão
voltou a dominar vários fóruns de conversa, com os tim-
bileiros a questionarem-se sobre o futuro do mwenje.
