ONCE upon a time, there was a kingdom so far far away. = Era uma vez, havia um reino
muito distante.
The king had a daughter. = O rei teve uma filha.
Her name was Princess Alaizdihar. = Seu nome era Princesa Alaizdihar.
Sometimes she was unsuccessful, even in some school subjects like Portuguese and English.
= Às vezes ela não ia bem, até mesmo em algumas matérias da escola como Português e
Inglês.
She failed many tests when she was at school. = Ela zerou muitas provas quando ela estava
na escola.
Some people thought she could never became a great woman. = Algumas pessoas
pensavam que ela nunca se tornaria uma grande mulher.
Princess Alaizdihar decided to leave the kingdom and search for ways to overcome these
challenges. = A Princesa Alaizdihar decidiu deixar o reinado e procurou meios de superar
esses desafios.
After a very long time and much consideration, she decided to prove herself to the world by
becoming a teacher. = Depois de muito tempo e muita consideração ela decidiu provar para
ela mesma e para o mundo se tornando uma professora.
She started to study hard and to work a lot. = Ela começou a estudar muito e trabalhar
bastante.
She worked in three different places, 18 hours a day. = Ela trabalhou em três lugares
diferentes, 18 horas por dia.
She used to work in the poorest neighborhoods and with vulnerable adolescents. = Ela
costumava trabalhar nos bairros mais pobres com adolescentes vulneráveis.
She helped her students to learn and they became empowered adults, changing the society
they lived in. = Ela ajudou seus estudantes a aprenderem e eles se tornaram adultos
empoderados, mudando a sociedade onde eles viviam.
After 20 years working as a teacher, she decided to became a politician. = Depois de 20

Alaizdihar went back to her family and became a Queen. = Alaizdihar voltou para a sua
família e se tornou a Rainha.
 She called her former students to help her rule the kingdom with justice, opportunity and
equality for all. = Ela chamou seus estudantes formados para ajudá-la a gerenciar o reinado
com justiça, oportunidade e igualdade para todos.
And everybody lived happily ever after. = E todos viveram felizes para sempre.
