Abstract
This paper deals with a section of the master's research titled Children
announced with school complaints: a study about the meanings and implications in the
self-representation, and proposes to discuss the shared meanings by children under
the school complaint and its identity implications, according to twenty six children that
studied in a county’s public school located in Cuiabá – MT, Brazil. Therefore, it is
based on the dialogue between the social representation’s theory (Moscovici, 2015), in
an ontogenetic approach (Duveen & Lloyd, 2008) and the historical-cultural theory
(Vigotski, 2009). The methodological assumptions that guided the data generation plan
were inspired by studies of ethnographic type in education (André, 1995), based on
participatory observation procedures and semi-structured interviews delineated by the
use of a ludic itinerary appropriate to the particularities of investigations with children.
The data produced was comprehensively transcribed and analyzed. The results
evidence the way in which children mean the announcement of school complaints,
through shared social representations in the school context, and reveal aspects of the
impact of pedagogical discourses and pedagogical practices linked to it in the
processes of their identity constitution.
