Resumo:

O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar analise referente a ocorrências

de uso irracional dos recursos hídricos no meio rural, localizados na bacia do
rio Uberaba e Claro que possivelmente contribuíram para a diminuição de
vazão dos citados copos hídricos, em período de estiagem, contribuindo para o
desabastecimento de água no Município de Uberaba, Minas Gerais, em tal
período. Essa problemática hídrica em Uberaba, principalmente nos períodos
de seca onde naturalmente os níveis de águas diminuem, se arrasta por anos.
Assim sendo, o Instituto Mineiro de Gestão de Águas (IGAM), em setembro de
2021 baixou uma Portaria que declarou "Situação Crítica de Escassez Hídrica
Superficial", atingindo diretamente a montante da captação do Rio Uberaba e
sua bacia de contribuição, reduzindo a oferta de água na seguinte proporção:
de 20% (consumo humano, dessedentação animal ou abastecimento público);
de 25% (irrigação); de 30% (consumo industrial e agroindustrial); e de 50%
(outros consumidores). Tendo em vista a grande importância do setor agrícola
e por ser justamente o setor que mais exige demanda do recurso hídrico, esse
artigo analisara as ocorrências interventoras em recurso hídricos e por meio da
Gestão Ambiental como liame na busca da harmonia entre o desenvolvimento
sustentável e o desabastecimento hídrico do Município de Uberaba durante o
período de estiagem, propor medidas visando prevenir e minimizar situações
de crise em anos vindouros.

This article aims to present analysis concerning irrational use of water

resources in the countryside, located in the basin of the Uberaba and Claro
River that possibly contributed to the decrease in flow of the water cups
mentioned above, during the periods of drought, contributing to the water supply
in the Municipality of Uberaba, Minas Gerais, in such a period. This water
problem in Uberaba, especially in periods of dry where water levels naturally
decrease, drags on for years. Therefore, the Mining Institute of Water
Management (IGAM), in September 2021, published an ordinance that declared
"Critical Situation of Surface Water Scarcity," directly reaching upstream of the
uptake of the Uberaba River and its basin of contribution, reducing the supply of
water in the following proportion: of 20% (human consumption, 25% (irrigation);
30% (industrial and agro-industrial consumption); and 50% (other consumers).
In view of the great importance of the agricultural sector and because it is
precisely the sector that demands the most water resource, this article had
analyzed the intervening occurrences in water resources and through
Environmental Management as a guide in the search for harmony between the
sustainable development and the water supply of the City of Uberaba during the
period of drought, propose measures to prevent and minimize crisis situations in
coming years.
