Relative Pronouns
Observe:
➢ That (que)
• She’s the woman that wrote this book.
• This is the book that I found.
• The lion is an animal that lives in the savannah.
Relative Pronouns
Esses são os pronomes relativos:
➢ Where (onde)
• Usamos WHERE para falar sobre lugares:
• This is the town where I was born.
• The club where they’re performing is very small.
Relative Pronouns
Esses são os pronomes relativos:
➢ Which (que)
• This is the book which I found.
• The lion is an animal which lives in the savannah.
Neste caso, WHICH
significa “qual”:
• The reasons for which we fall in love are unknown.
Relative Pronouns
Esses são os pronomes relativos:
➢ Whom (quem)
utilizado no dia a dia.
Observe:
• He is the boy who proposed to her.
• She is the woman whom he loved.
• She’s the person who he’s been waiting for.
• She’s the person for whom he’s been waiting.
Relative Pronouns
➢ Whose (cujo)
• He’s a musician whose music is very famous.
• The house whose owner is on vacation has a beautiful garden.
