Present Perfect Continuous

O Present Perfect Continuous usado, basicamente, para enfatizar a continuidade de uma

ao que comeou no passado e que se prolonga at o presente. Observe os usos e as
formas deste tempo verbal:
* FORMA CONTRADA: I / You / We / You / They' ve - He / She / It' s.

FORMA AFIRMATIVA:
A forma afirmativa do Present Perfect Continuous feita com o Presente Simples do
verbo to have (have / has) + Presente Perfeito do verbo to be + o gerndio do verbo
principal:
She has been working as a Mathematics teacher for 10 years.
(Ela trabalha como professora de Matemtica h 10 anos.)
I've been playing tennis for one hour.
(Estou jogando tnis h uma hora.)
Women have been fighting for their rights during the last decades.
(As mulheres tm lutado pelos seus direitos durante as ltimas dcadas.)
You have been talking on the phone since I got home.
(Voc est falando ao telefone desde que eu cheguei em casa.)
They have been studying for three hours. (Eles esto estudando h trs horas.)
Carol has been going to school by bus since her father's car broke.
(Carol vai/tem ido de nibus para a escola desde que o carro de seu pai estragou.)
They have been studying hard. (Eles esto estudando bastante.)
My parents' ve been travelling around Europe for four months.

PERFEITO DO VERBO TO BE + GERNDIO DO VERBO PRINCIPAL

- FORMA NEGATIVA:
A forma negativa do Present Perfect Continuous feita acrescentando-se not entre o
Presente Simples do verbo to have (have / has) e o Presente Perfeito do verbo to be. O verbo
principal permanece no gerndio:
* FORMA CONTRADA: haven't / hasn't
I have not been sleeping well since last week because my husband
snores a lot.

They have not been using the blender for months.
(Eles no usam o liquidificador h meses.)
She hasn't been living in San Diego since 1995. She has been livingthere since 1997.

A forma interrogativa do Present Perfect Continuous feita com o Presente Simples do
verbo to have (have / has) posicionado antes do sujeito. O verbo to be permanece no
Presente Perfeito e o verbo principal no gerndio:
