W(chistine): That's a lovely picture of your Family.

M(John): Yes, I love it. I took it when we all went on holiday together last
year. The twins look very happy, don't they?

M: Sim, eu a adoro. Eu tirei essa foto quando estvamos todos juntos de frias
no ano passado. Os gmeos parecem muito felizes, no parecem?

W: Yes, they are having a great time. Whos that, standing at the back?

W: Sim, eles esto se divertindo. Quem aquela de p atrs?

M: That's my mother-in-law. She's talking to her son, my brother-in-law,

David.

M: a minha sogra. Ela est conversando com seu filho, meu cunhado,
David.

W: Ah, yes, I remember David. He is married now, isnt he?

W: Ah, sim, eu me lembro do David. Ele est casado agora, no est?

M: That's right. They're moving to Australia next year, they think it will
be a good place to raise a child.

M: Exato. Eles vo mudar para a Austrlia no ano que vem, eles acham que
ser um timo lugar para criar um filho.

W: And is that your girlfriend there at the front?

W: E aquela na frente a sua namorada?

M: Yes, that's right. You should meet her. Let's all go out together soon.

M: Sim, exato. Voc deveria conhec-la. Vamos sair todos juntos em breve.

2. AMIGOS

Rob.: Hi Anne! John told me that you've got a new job. How's it going?

Rob.: Oi Anne! John me disse que voc est com um novo emprego. Como est
indo?

Ann.: Yes that's right, it's going well and my colleagues are really nice.

Ann.: Sim, exato, est indo bem e meus colegas so muito legais.

Rob.: What about your boss?

Rob.: E o seu chefe?

Ann.: She is friends with my flatmate. I knew her before I started the
job.

Ann.: Ela amiga da minha colega de casa. Eu a conhecia antes de comear o

emprego.

Rob.: And now you're one of her employees !

Rob.: E agora voc um de seus empregados!

Ann.: Yes and we're still friends of course. How are you and your
girlfriend ?

Ann.: Sim e, naturalmente, ainda somos amigas. Como est indo entre voc e
sua namorada?

Rob.: Were fine thanks, weve just got engaged so were both really
excited!

Rob.: Tudo bem, obrigado, ns acabamos de ficar noivos, estamos ambos muito
emocionados!

Ann.: Thats excelente News, congratulations !

Ann.: Que notcia maravilhosa, parabns!

Mark: What are your plans for next weekend, Sarah?

Mark: Quais so os seus planos para o prximo fim de semana, Sarah?

Sarah: Well, I'm going to a museum on Saturday. Why do you ask?

Sarah: Bem, sbado vou ao museu. Por que voc quer saber?

Mark: Would you like to meet up on Sunday?

Mark: Voc gostaria de me encontrar no domingo?

Sarah: Sorry, I can't. I've arranged to go shopping with my mum.

Sarah: Desculpe, eu no posso. Eu me organizei para fazer compras com minha

me.

Mark: What about the evening? Do you fancy going to an Italian restaurant? Mark: E noite? Que tal irmos a um restaurante italiano?

Sarah: I'd love to !
