Expecting Other Members to Change
Q: Regarding other Johrei disciples, I sometimes
think that a person is supposed to change one way
or another. Is this all right or is it just my
attachment?
A: That happens because you are not trusting God
deeply. God’s will is behind everything. Many
experiences in faith are necessary to reach the
point where we surrender to God; Generally,
people tend to think only in a human way, and
they suffer as a result.
Rev Ajiki: At this time there were about ten very
strong Johrei disciples, and under them twenty or
thirty ministers, with about a hundred Johrei
groups in Japan. There was lots of criticism
among the various disciples. When one thought
another was doing something wrong, that person
would report to Meishu-sama and ask him to
correct the other one. From Meishu-sama's point,
though, things might he happening right. So, even
though something appears to he done wrong,
sometimes it gives birth to something wonderful.
So God is using the person who seems to be
causing trouble, and God is divine will is behind
that situation. Meishu- sama had a very daijo way
of viewing things. At the same time he was quire
strict about right and wrong. So when someone
was doing something wrong, if Meishu-sama was
training that person he would notice even a small
thing and make a recommendation. In his
teachings, there are many daijo and also many
shojo points. Sometimes we are confused about
this, which is very good. In the process of gaining
real awareness we should sometimes be confused.

Interlocutor: Prestando atenção em outros
discípulos do Johrei, às vezes penso que uma
pessoa deveria mudar de uma maneira ou de
outra. Isso está certo ou é apenas meu apego?
Meishu Sama: Isso acontece porque você não
está confiando profundamente em Deus. A
vontade de Deus está por trás de tudo. Muitas
experiências de fé são necessárias para chegar ao
ponto em que nos entregamos de verdade a
Deus; Geralmente, as pessoas tendem a pensar
apenas de maneira humana, e elas sofrem em
decorrência disso.
Rev. Ajiki: Naquele tempo, havia cerca de dez
discípulos do Johrei muito fortes, e sob eles,
cerca de vinte ou trinta ministros, com cerca de
cem grupos diferentes do Johrei no Japão.
Havia muitas críticas entre os vários discípulos.
Quando alguém pensava que outro estava
fazendo algo errado, essa pessoa se comunicava
com Meishu-sama e pedia para corrigí-lo. Do
ponto de Meishu-sama, no entanto, as coisas
podem estar corretas. Então, mesmo que algo
pareça estar sendo feito errado, às vezes dá à
luz algo maravilhoso. Então Deus está usando a
pessoa que parece estar causando problemas, e
a vontade divina está por trás dessa situação.
Meishu sama tinha uma maneira muito boa de
ver as coisas. Ao mesmo tempo, ele era rigoroso
quanto ao certo e ao errado. Então, quando
alguém estava fazendo algo errado, se Meishu-
sama estava treinando aquela pessoa, ele
perceberia mesmo uma coisa pequena e daria
um conselho sobre o ocorrido. Em seus
ensinamentos, há muitos pontos daijo e também
muitos pontos shojo. Às vezes, ficamos confusos
sobre isso, o que é muito bom. No processo de
obter uma consciência sobre o que é real,
devemos nos confundir as vezes.
