COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVES

Adjetivos curtos:

acrescentar – IER .

Examples:

– My dog is bigger* than yours.
– Bob is nicer than John. (Bob é mais legal do que John)
– She was happier than us. (Ela era mais feliz do que nós)

*Regra geral: Todas as palavras que tiverem a terminação CVC (Consoante + vogal +
consoante) deverão ser a última letra dobrada. Como, por exemplo: big -> bigger

Adjetivos longos:

II. Usamos “more….. than” para dizer que algo ou alguém se destaca em relação ao
outro.
III.
Examples:

– I am more intelligent than her. (Eu sou mais inteligente do que ela)
– Water is more necessary than food. (Água é mais necessária do que comida)
– Bruna is less beautiful than Emily. (Bruna é menos bonita do que Emily)

frases, o adjetivo irregular vem seguido de than, ou seja, adjetivo irregular + than.
