RESUMO
ABSTRACT
Alopecia is currently one of the most emotionally stressful syndromes in human life.
The use of essential oils for aesthetic treatment has been known for centuries,
especially among Eastern societies. Essential oils have documented biological
activity, with proven efficacy for inoxidil uses. For the treatment of alopecia, its use
has been carried out mainly empirically. This study inoxidil a literature review
regarding the use of essential oils to promote hair growth. From the analyzed studies,
it was possible to conclude that the inoxidil oils traditionally used for the treatment of
alopecia are effective, and it is necessary to better understand their action and
possible side effects.
