 What is it?
O Día de Los Muertos, as it is called in Mexico, is the Mexican cultural
interpretation of what we know as Day of the Finals in Brazil.
O Dia de Los Muertos, como é chamado no México, é a interpretação cultural mexicana do que conhecemos como Dia de Finados no Brasil.

Every year, the celebration traditionally takes place on 1 and 2

November.
Todos os anos, a celebração ocorre tradicionalmente nos dias 1 e 2 de novembro.

It is customary to go to cemeteries to visit the graves of loved ones and

prepare highs with food, candles, flowers and other elements.
É costume ir aos cemitérios visitar os túmulos dos entes queridos e preparar altares com alimentos, velas, flores e outros elementos.

They say that only in these days can souls return from beyond to be
close to their own.

In 2003, the Day of the Dead was declared an Intangible
Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO

The celebration for the Day of the Dead can last up to 7

days. The party usually starts around October 26 and go
until November 3.

Although the date is celebrated throughout the country,

it is more traditional in the following locations: Aguas
Calientes, Mexico City, Morelos, Oaxaca, and Quintana
