possa explicar aspectos ecológicos e evolutivos do vôo. A única dificuldade

• Modificação do Habitat

a. Eliminação das zonas de pouso

b. Instalação de linhas ou redes

geralmente possui alto custo e algumas desvantagens.

semelhante a nossa.

resultado final.
Allsopp Vigilante Helikite
The revolutionary Vigilante Helikite allows
bird control where none was possible before.
Farms, Feedlots, Orchards, Row Crops,
Landfills, Fish Farms, Office Buildings, Sports
Centers, Marinas, Resorts, Factories.

The scientifically designed, patented Vigilante

Helikite is the first and only bird control system
that really works well over a long period of time
because birds find it extremely difficult to
overcome the innate terror of predatory hawks
that Helikites create.

Sight is the major sense in birds and so they are affected far more by an instinctive
visual stimulus than by anything they hear - just like the human fear of snakes and
spiders.

The unique Vigilante Helikite can fly at great heights, up to 200 feet (60 metres).
This enables them to be seen over hills or hedges and to have excellent birdscaring
ability over vast areas - far more than is usual with any other method.

Launches itself, and relaunches after rain. Uses cheap, safe, non-flammable helium
gas to stay afloat, even with no wind.

The Vigilante fully surrounds the balloon provides puncture protection when the
balloon falls to earth, but is heavier in warm weather and when it rains. The
Lightweight Helikite uses thin straps (pictured on this page) to hold the balloon (seen
on this page) and can be used to lift things in the air, and is more suited to warmer
climates, such as the warmer Southern states.

The Helikite kit includes Ripstop-nylon sail/balloon cover, 5 disposable balloons,

carbon-fibre spar, 200 ft special high strength flying line with handle, a flashing
"Irritape" tail, a long red tail, clips, swivels and full instructions. Each balloon lasts
about three weeks. Helium not included.

Bird Scare Flash Tape
A slight breeze is enough to cause a fluttering sound and mirror-like reflections that
will scare away even the bravest birds. Attach the 1/2" wide streamers to tree limbs,
trellises, sprinkler risers, etc.

Birdscare Flash Tape works by reflecting sunlight. When applied in a spiral, any
wind movement causes the alternating red and silver sides to flash brilliantly. This
seems to signal danger to the birds, who may associate it with fire.

Proven effective in a wide variety of crop and garden applications. Can be stretched
over a crop, secured every 30-40 ft or 2 ft. long bunches of streamers can be hung from
outer branches of trees. Also can be used to keep ducks, geese and gulls off waterfront
lawns and docks.

For best results, install just before crop starts to ripen and remove when crop is
harvested.

The Great Horned Owl is one of Nature's Most Feared

Predators

The Prowler
Owl®
The Prowler Owl® was
recreated from artwork
produced by nationally
renowned wildlife artist,
Dave Constantine, National
Turkey Federation Artist of
the Year. The Prowler
Owl® is the only owl
decoy on the market that
replicates a bird of prey in
hunting mode. With
outstretched wings the Prowler® appears as though it is gliding through the air in search
of its next meal.

ULTIMATE AERIAL PREDATOR - Great Horned Owl: the most-feared predator of

pigeons, starlings, geese, other birds, rodents, rabbits and squirrels, even skunk - it
catches and eats almost anything that moves!

LIFELIKE & EFFECTIVE - Most realistic predator on the market - life size, accurate
markings. Huge, spanning nearly 4 feet, patented flapping wings lift and fall as the head
and "airfoil" body move in the wind.

ON THE HUNT - Always-moving "hunting" posture, never perching, so birds can't get
used to it.

TIRELESS - Perfect patrol for gardens, parks, golf courses, marinas, rooftops, open
areas. Set it up anywhere -- the breeze and its natural appearance take care of the rest!

The Scare-Eye Frightens Birds Away

Bird-X Scare-Eye Balloon

Hang the 12" diameter Scare-Eye from trees or long poles to scare
away flocks of nuisance birds who are repelled by its bright color and
the unusual design. The eyes exaggerate the glaring eyes and gaping
mouth of a predator bird.

The number of Scare-Eyes to use per acre varies with the species
and number of birds. In most cases as few as 6 per acre are effective.
Depending on the type of crop or number of birds more Scare-Eyes
may be required. Put them out several weeks before you are ready to
pick the crop and take them down after harvesting to use again next
year. Office building and apartment managers use Scare-Eyes
confidently to get rid of pest birds.

Scare-Eyes come in three colors.(yellow, black & white) Research shows maximum
effectiveness is obtained by rotating colors. No color should be used more than 3 weeks
or they will lose their effectiveness. Scare-Eyes are effective with all species of birds
except Robins. You no longer have to put up with pest birds. Scare-Eye Balloons are the
answer to the control of pest birds.
