ADJETIVOS DE UMA SÍLABA

Adicione -er para o comparativo e -est para o superlativo. Se o adjetivo terminar em consoante +
vogal + consoante, a consoante final deve ser duplicada antes da inclusão da terminação.

ADJETIVOS DE DUAS SÍLABAS

Os adjetivos de duas sílabas podem formar o comparativo pela inclusão de -er ou pelo uso do
termo more antes do adjetivo. Esses adjetivos podem formar o superlativo pela inclusão de -est ou
pelo uso do termo most antes do adjetivo. Em muitos casos, ambas as formas são utilizadas, embora
uma delas seja mais comum que a outra. Se você não estiver certo de que determinado adjetivo de
duas sílabas possa levar uma terminação comparativa ou superlativa, opte pela segurança e
utilize more e most. No caso dos adjetivos terminados em y, altere esse "y" por um "i" antes de incluir
a terminação.
ADJETIVOS DE TRÊS OU MAIS SÍLABAS
Os adjetivos de três ou mais sílabas formam o comparativo através da inclusão do termo more antes
de cada adjetivo, e o superlativo, pela inclusão da palavra most.

COMPARATIVOS E SUPERLATIVOS IRREGULARES

Alguns adjetivos bastante comuns possuem formas comparativas e superlativas completamente
irregulares.
