comparar diferenças entre os dois objetos que
eles modificam (maior, menor, mais rápido, mais
alto).

substantivos são comparados, neste padrão:
Substantivo (sujeito) + verbo + adjetivo
comparativo + que + substantivo (objeto).

Jack better. ("than Jim" is understood)
ADJETIVOS SUPERLATIVOS
“
▸ Adjetivos superlativos são usados para descrever um
objeto que está no limite superior ou inferior de uma
qualidade (o mais alto, o menor, o mais rápido, o mais
alto de todos). Eles são usados em frases em que um
sujeito é comparado a um grupo de objetos.
▸ Substantivo (sujeito) + verbo + o + adjetivo
superlativo + substantivo (objeto).

neighborhood.
▸ This is the smallest box I've ever seen.
▸ Your dog ran the fastest of any dog in the
race.
▸ We all threw our rocks at the same time. My
rock flew the highest. ("of all the rocks" is
understood)

▸ Formar comparativos e superlativos é fácil.
A formação depende do número de sílabas
no adjetivo original;
▸ Adicione -er para o comparativo e -est para o
superlativo. Se o adjetivo tiver uma consoante +
vogal única + consoante, a consoante final deverá
ser duplicada antes de adicionar a finalização.

Adjetivos com duas sílabas podem formar o comparativo
adicionando -er ou precedido o adjetivo com more. Esses adjetivos
formam o superlativo adicionando -est ou precedendo o adjetivo
com most.
