nem sempre são as dimensões do objecto aquelas que definem a atenção que lhes damos ou não.

os estímulos recebidos pelo cérebro humano em 2022, durante as horas que passamos acordados,
são de tal ordem de grandeza - devido à exposição contínua aos múltiplos meio de difusão de
informação e ao telemóvel colado à mão - que é preciso haver, no objecto em questão,
características particulares que casem com os interesses específicos da pessoa específica.
por outro lado, o interesse por determinada coisa sem sempre acompanha a ação sobre ela.
é comum uma pessoa que viva numa grande cidade nunca ter visitado todos os monumentos e
sítios instagramáveis nela existentes e recomendados à visita. é normal porque se trata do seu
território e entende que sempre estarão disponíveis e pode ir noutro dia.
acontece o mesmo no campo com a natureza que nos rodeia. o privilégio de viver num sítio como
Castelo de Vide é, mas não só, o estar imerso na Natureza, ter a possibilidade de muito facilmente
aceder a espaços naturais completamente virgens.
a Natureza está por todo o lado e faz parte dos nossos dias. mas raramente a vemos porque
sabemos que está lá.
Valérie Aboulker, o marido e o filho, vivem em Paris mas são Castelovidenses honorários desde
2016, ano em que numa viagem meio aleatória pelo interior de Portugal vieram dar à vila e, magia
magia, não tiveram outro remédio que aqui fixar a segunda residência.
na sua casa de pedra de Castelo de Vide, a Valérie toma tempo para ver e registar a natureza. essa
que a nós todos, na azafama do dia a dia, nos costuma escapar.
é disso que trata a exposição minúsculos. nos desenhos, pinturas e têxteis presentes no Centro de
Arte e Cultura da Fundação Nossa Senhora da Esperança a artista mostra-nos aqueles pequenos
detalhes da vida natural que todos conhecemos mas que raramente nos lembramos de ver.
a exposição está patente no @cacfnse até dia 15 de agosto num horário muito reduzido: 2ª a 6ª das
14h00 às 17h00.

it’s not always the size of an object what defines the attention we give it or not.
the stimula received by the human brain in 2022, during the hours we spend awake, are in such
quantity - dew to the continuous exposition to the multiple means of infornation diffusion and the
cell phone attached to your hand - that there needs to be, on the object in question, particular
caracteristics that marry the specific interesses of the specific person.
on the other side, interest in a particular thing does not always translade into an action over it.
it is common that a person that lives in a big city never visited all the monuments and instagramable
sites in it contained. it is normal because they are part of their territory and they will always be there
and you can go another time, another day.
the same thing happens in the countryside with the nature that surrounds us. the priviledge of living
in a place like Castelo de Vide is, but not just, being immersed in nature, having the possibility of
very easily accessing natural, completely virgin spaces.
nature is all around and is part of our days, but we rarely ever see it because we know that it is
there.
Valérie Aboulker, her husband and son live in Paris, but have been honorary Castelovidenses since
2016, when while on a kind of random trip through the interior of Portugal they landed in town and,
magic magic, they had no other remedy than to fixate their second residency here.
on her Castelo de Vide stone house, Valérie takes her time watching/seeing/registering nature. the
nature that we all, on the fuss of every day life, seem to tend to ignore.
it is about that the exhibtion “minúsculos”. on the drawings, paintings and textiles present at the
Centro de Arte e Cultura da Fundação Nossa Senhora da Esperança the artist shows us those small
details of natural life that we all know but rarely remember seeing.
