Iniciaremos esta parte da nossa apostila com uma série de quatro lições
abordando os temas mais usados no início do aprendizado da matéria.
As lições são divididas em tópicos como: Conversação (um texto para ser
traduzido pelo aluno, estudado a sua estrutura gramatical e explicado passo
a passo o uso dos verbos), Gramática, expressões e outras.
Veremos também, meses, dias, estações do ano e como dizer as horas.
Também falaremos sobre o tempo, se frio, calor, chuva etc.
Ao término desta parte você estará apto para conversar, responder,
informar muitas coisas em inglês.
Boa sorte nos estudos, e vamos agora a nossa primeira lição.
1ª.FIRST LESSON:
1) CONVERSATION.
Use um dicionário se precisar.
Você lembra?
Formal Presentation:
Mr = Usamos para homens solteiros ou casados; [mistâr]
Mrs = Usamos para mulheres casadas; [missis]
Miss = Usamos para mulheres solteiras. [miss]
2) GRAMMAR.
Personal pronouns:
1° pessoa - I
2° pessoa -You
3° pessoa - He
3° pessoa - She
3° pessoa - It singular
1° pessoa - We
2° pessoa - You
3° pessoa - They plural
Examples:
I am Nancy = Eu sou Nancy.
You are Jim = Você é Jim.
He is Bill = Ele é Bill.
She is Susan = Ela é Susan.
Note: Usamos He = para homens, She = para mulheres
It = para coisas e animais (exceto se o animal tiver um nome).
Ex: Bob is my dog. He is very smart. (o animal tem nome)
It’s a cat. It’s a dog. (não há nome apenas fala do animal)
It’s a table = é uma mesa.
3) EXPRESSIONS:
I am very well = Eu vou muito bem.
And how about you? = E você?
So long! = Até logo!
Good by! Fell well! = Adeus! Passe bem!

1) CONVERSATION:

John: Hello! My name is John Walters. What’s your name?
Susan: Hi! My name is Susan Parker.
John: Nice to meet you Susan!
Susan: Nice to meet you too John! It’s very beautiful your T-shirt! What
color is this? Is it blue?
John: Oh, thanks! It’s new. But is not blue, it’s green.
Susan: Humm… Sorry!
John: Hey! What are those animals on that tree? What color are they?
Susan: Those animals are cats! They are black cats.
John: Oh!! They are very ugly!
Susan: Yes they are.
Beautiful = bonito/a
T-shirt = camiseta
New = novo/a
Tree = árvore (não confunda com three = 3, que é pronunciado com a
língua entre os dentes)
Ugly = feio/a

O verbo Haver
The verb There be: [dhêr bi]
There is/There are = Affirmative.
Is there/ Are there? = Interrogative.
There isn’t/ There aren’t = Negative.
There isn’t any coffee in the bottle. = Não há nenhum café na garrafa.
There aren’t eggs in the refrigerator. = Não há ovos na geladeira.
Condicional:
There would be = Haveria.
Is there a pen on the desk? = Yes, the is/ No, there isn’t.
Are there any pens on the desk? = Yes, there are/ No, there aren’t.
How much e How many.
[ráu mátch] [ráu méni]
How many apples are there? – There is one apple/ There are five apples.
Existem muitas outras perguntas que podemos fazer usando HOW [ráu]:
How often do you go to church? -Com que frequência você vai a igreja?
How long will you stay in New York? – Quanto tempo você vai ficar
em Nova Iorque?

2) GRAMMAR:
Verb Can (poder, saber) é um auxiliar dos outros verbos que significa
capacidade, habilidade, disposabilidade de fazer algo.
Examples:
Question: Answer:
Can you do? Yes, I can/ No, I can’t.
Can you say? Yes, I can/ No, I can’t.
Can you play? Yes, I can/ No, I can’t.
Can you go? Yes, I can/ No, I can’t.
Connecting word:
But = mas (esclusão) [bât]
And = e (inclusão) [end]
SPORTS = ESPORTES
Tennis = Tênis, Football = Futebol Americano, Soccer = Futebol,
Basketball = Basquete, Baseball = Beisebol, Golf = Golfe.
THE POSSESSIVE CASE (‘S) = O CASO POSSESSIVO.
Típico da língua inglesa, o possessivo trata-se de colocar um apóstrofo
seguido de um s após o nome do possuidor, que procederá sempre a coisa
possuída:

Vamos agora conhecer sobre as condições climáticas e dizer como está o
tempo.
How is the weather today? = Como está o tempo hoje?
It is hot. Está quente.
It is very cold. Está muito frio
How cold it is. Como está frio.
What dreadful weather. Que tempo horrível.
It will rain. Vai chover.
It’s raining. Está chovendo.
The wind is cold. O vento está frio.
We are in summer. Estamos no verão.
The sun is shining. O sol está brilhando.
The weather is beautiful. O tempo está bom (bonito).
The sky is overcast. O céu está nublado.
The rain hás stopped. A chuva parou.
WHOSE?
Whose? (De quem?) indica possuição, propriedade de quem? Pertence a
quem?
Whose umbrella is this
De quem é este guarda-chuva?
- This is Peter’s umbrella.
- Este é o guarda-chuva do Peter.
Whose keys are these?
De quem são estas chaves?
- These are Susan’s Keys.
- Estas são as chaves de Susan.
