anticorrosivo interno e externo de 6 a 60. A capacidade instalada anual de 70 a 90 mil toneladas de tubos, dependendo
do mix de produtos, e de 1,3 milho de metros quadrados de revestimento.

Company profile

Tubos Soldados Atlntico (TSA) is a company controlled by Vallourec Tubos do Brasil S.A., one of the world most modern
integrated steelworks, leader in Brasil on the steel seamless pipes production. Both offer tubular solutions for the more diverse
applications, supplying local and international markets.
In a strategic location at Serra city, state of Espirito Santo, the Company has the privilege of regions maritime, roadway and
railway logistic, beyond its nearness to the main steel coil furnisher raw material for product manufacture.
TSA produces steel pipes with helicoidal welds in large diameters (16 to 60) for the more diverse applications, as gas pipe
lines, oil pipe lines, tubes for fluid transportation, for steel structure construction and sanitation uses. The Company has also an
anti-corrosive internal and external coating from 6 to 60. The installed capacity is 70 to 90 thousand tons of tubes per year,
according product mix, and 1.3 million square meters coating

A TSA fornece tubos de ao e servios de revestimento para a produo

e conduo de leo, gs e derivados, fornecendo seus produtos para
grandes projetos e principais players desses mercados.
Com elevada resistncia presso interna, os tubos destinados ao segmento de gasodutos e oleodutos podem ser fabricados em grau de ao
at API 5 L X70 ou superior, conforme necessidade, com comprimento
de at 18 metros, obedecendo integralmente s mais rigorosas normas e
especificaes do setor petrolfero.

TSA delivers steel tubes and coating services for oil production and conveying pipes, gas and derivatives pipes, supplying his products for great
projects and main players in these markets.
With high internal pressure resistance, the pipes assigned to gas and oil
pipe lines segments can be manufactured in steel grade up to API 5 L X70
or higher, according necessity, with length until 18 meters, following integrally the most rigorous standards and specifications of the oil field sector.

REVESTIMENTO

COATING

A planta de revestimento da Empresa tem capacidade para revestir, anualmente, mais de 1,3 milho de m2. Em uma linha moderna, com quase
6 mil m, e de altssima produtividade, essa unidade est preparada para
atender aos mais exigentes critrios de qualidade e desempenho requisitados por normas nacionais e internacionais, bem como para atender aos
requisitos de qualidade necessrios para o desenvolvimento das provncias petrolferas, em especial o Pr-Sal.

The Companys coating plant has a coat capacity of, yearly, more than
1.3 million m2. It is a very modern line, with nearly 6 thousand m, and a
very large productivity; this unit can attend the most demanding quality
and performance criterions required by as well as, to fulfill quality requirements needed to develop oil field locations, in special, the pre-salt.

TUBOS DE AO

STEEL PIPES

Os tubos so produzidos pelo processo de soldagem helicoidal por arco

submerso (SAWH), tendo como matria-prima principal bobinas de ao fabricadas pelo

(TMCP) que atendem a

diferentes graus de resistncia mecnica e tenacidade.
A bobina desenrolada e transformada em tubo por meio da conformao
a frio ao passar pelos rolos do sistema de formao. A geometria do tubo
produzido por soldagem em espiral constante ao longo de seu comprimento e funciona como um estabilizador geomtrico. Esse processo confere uma excelente circunferencialidade, no sendo necessria a operao
de expanso a frio para correo do dimetro e mostrando elevada uniformidade geomtrica, onde os tubos se encontram dentro da tolerncia
requerida por distintas normas.

The pipes are manufactured by the submerged-arc helical welding pro

chanical strength and toughness.

The coil is uncoiled and conforming in a pipe by cold work, been stretched
through a rolls of the formation system. The geometry of the pipe produced by spiral welding remains uniform in its whole length and it works
as a geometric stabilizer. This process confers an excellent roundness,
being not necessary a cold expansion operation to correct the diameter
and showing high geometric uniformity, where the pipes are within the
tolerances required by different standards.

A TSA fabrica tubos com a faixa de dimetros entre 406 mm e

1.524 mm (16 e 60).

TSA produces pipes in the diameter range between 406 mm and

1,524 mm (16 and 60).

O dimetro (D) do tubo produzido depende do ngulo ( ) no qual a bobina com largura (B) entra na unidade de formao, representada pela
equao a seguir. As dimenses do tubo em espiral so continuamente
ajustadas, permitindo a obteno de diversos dimetros a partir de uma
mesma largura de bobina.
Por ser um processo contnuo, os tubos medem entre 8 e 32 metros,
proporcionando uma economia significativa na etapa de construo e
montagem do pipeline com a possibilidade de reduzir o nmero de juntas
circunferenciais de campo.

The diameter (D) of the manufactured pipe depends on the angle ( )

whereupon the coil with a width (B) enters in the shaping unit, represented
by the equation below. The pipe dimensions of the spiral pipe are adjustable,
allowing obtain several diameters and length from the same coil width.
Due to the continuity characteristic of the process, the pipes can be
produced having a length between 8 and 32 meters, that results in significant savings at the production and erection stages of the pipeline, with the
possibility to reduce the quantity of field joints - girth weld.

PRODUTOS ESPECIAIS
Para atender s necessidades do mercado brasileiro de construo civil, a TSA fabrica tubos especiais para aplicao em projetos de estruturas metlicas. A Empresa desenvolveu uma linha de produtos para ser usada como elemento estrutural (colunas e vigas) em pontes, viadutos, portos, aeroportos,
arenas, prdios, entre outros.
Os produtos especiais tm alto padro tcnico e seguem os critrios de aceitao mais rigorosos e tolerncias mais apertadas que as exigidas pelas
normas atuais, conforme tabela a seguir. Alm dos ensaios no destrutivos convencionais, a solda do tubo 100% inspecionada por ultrassom e tambm avaliada por ensaios mecnicos, como trao e dobramento.

SPECIAL PRODUCTS
To supply the brazilian civil construction market, TSA produces special pipes for steel structures projects application. The Company developed a product
line to be used as structural elements (masts and beams) in bridges, viaducts, harbors, airports, arenas, buildings, among others.
The special products have a high technical quality and obey the most severe acceptance criteria having more restricted tolerances than the actual norms,
according the table below. Besides the conventional nondestructive tests, the pipe weld seams are 100% ultrasonic tested and are also evaluated by
mechanical tests, as tensile and bending.

Aps o preaquecimento para remoo da umidade,

o tubo passa por dois jatos de granalha de ao para
garantir a completa remoo da oxidao e tambm
produzir um bom perfil de rugosidade.
After removed the moisture by pre heating, the pipe
pass through two jets of abrasive blasting of steel
to ensure complete removal of oxidation and also
produce a roughness profile.

Aps o aquecimento em forno por induo; o tubo passa
pela cmara onde aplicado, via spray, o primer de FBE
que termicamente curado. Logo em seguida extrudado
lateralmente o adesivo copolimrico e, por fim, a terceira
camada em poliolefina (PE ou PP). Para revestimento com
Top Coating em Polister, o mesmo aplicado aps o FBE.

After heating in the induction furnace; the pipe passes through

the chamber where it is applied, by spray, the primer on FBE
that is thermally cured. As followed, the second layer of the
copolymer adhesive is extruded laterally and finally the third layer
on polyolefin (PE or PP) is applied. For coating with Top Coating
on Polyester, it is applied after the FBE.
