5.2.1 – Interface Iu
Conecta CN e UTRAN. Suas principais funções são :
- Interconectar o subsistema RNS com os pontos de acesso à rede CN dentro de uma
PLMN, independente do fabricantes desses componentes;
- Suportar todos os serviços UMTS;
- Permitir o interfuncionamento com o sistema GSM.
