Tendo tido problemas recentes com meu XFR e encontrando poucas informações sobre o supercharger,
decidi compartilhar algumas das informações que encontrei, algumas podem estar erradas, então sinta-
se à vontade para corrigir, mas com base no que li de várias fontes
O supercharger é um Roots tipo feito pelo número do modelo Eaton é TVS (série Twin Vortices) 1900.
Ao contrário dos supercompressores 4.0l e 4.2 Eaton M113 anteriores, eles não podem ser reparados no
local, eles precisam ser removidos do carro para acessar a tampa traseira do supercompressor e dreno
de óleo/ encher os plugues leva cerca de 4 a 5 horas (remova e recoloque)
O único óleo no compressor está nesta tampa traseira, não há óleo no focinho ao contrário dos modelos
anteriores
também mudaria o peças no post um também se você precisar de um novo focinho. O número da peça
é LR058083 * e, no momento desta postagem, eles custam £ 235 + iva
3) Baixo desempenho/baixo impulso - Com o tempo, o revestimento preto (semelhante ao ptfe) nos
lóbulos do superalimentador pode se desgastar e isso reduzirá a saída do superalimentador - Inspecione
os lóbulos para ver como eles se parecem, se estiverem aparecendo sinais de desgaste, então todo o
supercharger precisa ser substituído, a nova peça da Jaguar vem completa com um bico e um novo
isolador de torção, então é a abordagem da correia e suspensórios - O número da peça é DW93-6F066-

Para mim, o "R" associado aos modelos Jaguar sempre se referiu ao soprador Rootes e é por isso que, na
minha opinião, esta tendência recente de usar "R" para R-Sport está apenas diminuindo a marca e se
tivesse a sorte de possuir um Jaguar superalimentado, de qualquer idade, eu ficaria um pouco irritado.

It’s a real shame they bury the supercharger inside the engine. I was at a car show yesterday and there
was a new Mustang there with the bonnet open. You could see the S/C proud and on display. Looked
much better than a chunk of plastic.

No.
Lots of discussion about this and the coupler/torsion isolator over on the US forum, and it's been proven
many a time that the only way to remove the snout is to remove the entire supercharger from the motor.

Glad mine was done before I bought it but it's a shame it's not as reliable as the 4.2 blower. My last 4.2 XJR had
128,000 miles on it and it ran as sweet as a nut.
That’s actually cheaper than I thought it would be. I was expecting it to be nearer £4K just for the unit.
Glad mine was under warranty as well.

Someone told me they were £8k! but yes around £2k plus the vat , tbh I dont think that is that bad,
neither is the snout really just the time that it takes to do the work.

Any idea how long the supercharger is expected to last? I hope it is rare for them to fail
prematurely.....my car has now done 46k miles and I'm hoping it will last for many more miles to come!

Mine was showing signs of wear at 62k but wasnt worn out i think in truth its a bit of a lottery

Reason enough for me to justify buying the Extended Warranty. I had thought this engine was pretty
bulletproof, but it is good to understand the potential issues.

I have seen examples of aftermarket warranties excluding "common faults" as they are deemed to be
design faults by the insurers behind the warranties. This on a JLR approved car warranty................they
ducked out of an £18k engine change on a Rangie.

I've seen plenty of warranties exclude fair wear and tear, it depends on what is considered a reasonable
life for a supercharger

I've just had a s/c coupler replaced under Jag warranty at c.55k miles. Based on my experiences I wouldnt
have one without a cast iron warranty.

In my mind a modern engine should be able to easily do 100k plus without failing due to "wear and
tear"......but I'm sure warranty companies will have a different view. Some warranties will no doubt be
mileage restricted in any event.

The Jaguar bulletin, linked above, contains the word "wearing" - I understand that a warranty company
might refuse a payout on that basis.
