Provavelmente, você já ouviu a palavra E se, right? We use this word to talk about things that depend on something
else to happen. We need to have a condition for it to happen, so that’s why we call them condicionais. Hoje vamos
explorar os dois primeiros, o zero e o primeiro condicional em inglês. Existem mais dois, sobre os quais falaremos
depois.
I. Condicional zero (zero conditional) - é formada por dois verbos no simple present. É usada para expressar
verdades universais ou tudo aquilo que considera-se verdadeiro. O resultado sempre acontece.
II. Primeira condicional (first conditional) - é formada por um verbo no simple present e outro no simple future. É
muito usada para retratar situações possíveis ou prováveis. Diferente da condicional zero, a primeira condicional
expressa uma situação em particular, com grande possiblidade de acontecer, enquanto a condição zero expressa
uma situação que sempre acontece.
Tem a seguinte formação: If + simple present (condicional) + simple future [will] (oração principal)
Exemplos:
If you break this vase, your mother will be mad!
If I have time, I will visit my grandma next weekend.
ATENÇÃO! É bom relembrar que, tanto para Zero como para First Conditional, pouco importa a ordem das orações.
Logo:
If you watch this movie, you won’t sleep at night. – Se você assiste a este filme, não vai dormir à noite.
You won’t sleep at night, if you watch this movie. – Você não vai dormir à noite, se assistir a este filme.
