WHO IS THE GOREAN MAN?
Um assunto bastante complexo, este, a tentativa de definir quem é o Homem Goreano.

A rather complex subject, this, trying to define who is the Gorean man.
Normalmente quando se fala em Homem Goreano, os conceitos de Honra, Lealdade, Coragem saltam
à mente. Mas...
Usually when someone talks about man Gorean, the concepts of Honor, Loyalty, Courage spring to
mind.
Mas, nos Livros... Surbus é descrito como um pirata, um traficante de escravos, um assassino e um
ladrão. Ele era conhecido por ser um homem cruel e desprezível, abominável, cheio de sujeira e
podridão. Na verdade, é dito que "ele era totalmente mal". Mas ele era. . . Goreano.
But, by the Books ... Surbus is described as a pirate, a slave dealer, a murderer and a thief. He was
known to be a cruel and despicable man, abominable, full of dirt and rot. In fact, it is said that "he was
totally evil." But he was. . . Gorean.

A figura do Homem Goreano é baseada, obviamente, nos 34 romances de John Norman. Portanto,
dizer que existe um único tipo de homem goreano é, no mínimo, imprudente. No planeta de Gor havia
aqueles que eram mentirosos, desonestos e fraudulentos. No entanto, eles eram, por definição,
Goreanos.
The figure of the Gorean Man is based, of course, on 34 novels by John Norman. So to say that there
is one type of Gorean Man is at least reckless. In the Gor planet there were those who were liars,
dishonest and fraudulent. However, they were, by definition, Goreans.

Obviously, most people prefer to be associated with someone other than Surbus, someone you can
trust. And many of those I met are indeed honorable. But my place is that, simply, "Honour" and
"Gorean" are not synonymous.
A descrição fundamental do ser Goreano – em Gor, ou mesmo aqui na Terra, para quem optou por
esse estilo de vida – é a crença de que os homens são superiores. Em outras palavras que existe uma
Ordem Natural das coisas.
The fundamental description of being Gorean – on Gor, or even here on Earth, for whom that chose
its lifestyle - is the belief that men are superior. In other words, there is a Natural Order of things.

A Ordem Natural pode ser resumida como "o macho de uma espécie evoluiu (ou foi criado, para
aqueles que negam a evolução em lugar de ciência da criação) a partir de um status particular, enquanto
a fêmea dessa espécie evoluiu (ou foi criada) com o status oposto, qual seja, para atender a sobrevivência
dessa espécie." Geralmente, esse estado de diferenciação exibe em uma escala de dominação /
submissão. Isso pode ser observado no reino animal, quer se olhe para caninos, felinos, aves ou mesmo
formas de vida marinha.
The Natural Order can be summed up as "the male of a species evolved (or was created for those who
deny evolution instead of creation science) from a particular status, while the female of this species has
evolved (or was created) with the opposite status, that is, to meet the survival of this species. " Generally,
this differentiation state displays on a scale of domination / submission. This can be seen in the animal
kingdom, wants to look at dogs, cats, birds or marine life.
Sim, as mulheres têm o seu lugar na sociedade Goreana, mas é apenas isso, elas têm o seu lugar. Sim,

Na verdade, existem dois grupos que usam o termo “ser Goreano”.

One type - which spreads by online life - does the buck hero character and dress for a dramatization
night. They claim to be Gorean swinging swords and knives, cutting heads, dragging girls on chains,
humbling free women and whipping slaves. Then they turn off the computer and go back to being what
they are.

I think there is really nothing wrong with that. One of the temptations of Role Play Games is that you
can be something that you really are not. Also, many of us go through this phase after the first discovery

pretensão é apenas apresentar algumas formas de como o Homem Goreano se relaciona com a
realidade ao seu redor.

only to present some ways of how Gorean Man interact with the reality around him.
Ainda falando sobre o estilo de vida, ou sua aplicação no mundo online, é importante, mesmo
fundamental entender as distinções entre BDSM e Gor.

A Gorean Man IS WHAT IT IS. He assumes that everything has a unique singularity and he does not
try to be what he is not for it to be. A tree is a tree. A stone is a stone. So Gorean Man understands his
basic nature and fulfills it. He assumes that his wants, needs and activities are primarily for male.
Um Homem Goreano É QUEM ELE É. Ele é livre, dominante, orgulhoso de sua condição. Ele
valoriza a sua Home Stone, a sua Casta e o seu clã, como parte de sua identidade. Ele acredita que
existem aqueles que nasceram para serem mestres e aqueles que nasceram para serem escravos.
Aqueles que nasceram para governar e aqueles que nasceram para ser governados. Aqueles que
nasceram para ser fortes e aqueles que nasceram para ser fracos.
A Gorean Man is WHO HE IS. He is free, dominant, proud of his condition. He values his Home
Stone, his Caste and his clan, as part of their identity. He believes that there are those who were born
to be masters and those who were born to be slaves. Those who born to rule and those who were born
to be ruled. Those who born to be strong and those who were born to be weak.
Quer seja online, quer seja como estilo de vida, o Homem Goreano assume a filosofia de Gor para
moldar a sua personalidade, conduzir a sua forma de agir e nortear o seu relacionamento com os
outros.
Whether online, or as lifestyle, the Gorean Man takes the philosophy of Gor to shape his personality,
to drive his way to act and govern his relationship with others.

A pergunta que vamos tentar responder hoje é “como o Homem Goreano vê o mundo que o cerca?”
The question we try to answer today is "like Gorean man sees the world around him?"
Gor, descrito pelos livros é um mundo cruel, povoado por guerras, onde a raça humana é um peão no
tabuleiro da luta subterrâneas entre os Reis-Sacerdotes e os Kurii, pelo domínio de Gor, da Terra e,
quem sabe, de todo o Sistema Solar. Certo?
Gor, described by the books is a cruel world, populated by wars, where the human race is a pawn on
the chessboard of the underground struggle between the Priest-Kings and Kurii at Gor domain, the
Earth and perhaps the entire Solar System. Right?
Sim, certo. Ou pelo menos superficialmente certo. O mundo dos livros é povoado por lindas escravas,
batalhas, amores e ódios. Povos peculiares, com seus hábitos e costumes distintos. Um meio ambiente
hostil em algumas regiões. Um lugar onde a espada rege e o macho domina.
Yes right. Or at least superficially right. The world of books is populated by beautiful slaves, battles,
loves and hates. Peculiar peoples, with different habits and customs. A hostile environment in some
regions. A place where the sword rules and the male dominates.
Mas vocês já pensaram como é a vida do Goreano médio? O que ele faz no seu dia-a-dia, no que ele
acredita, como ele se diverte?
But have you ever thought how is the life of the average Gorean? What he does in his day-to-day, what
is his beliefs, how does he have fun?
A maior parte da abordagem do modo de vida Goreano pode ser observada no seguinte aforismo:
Most Gorean lifestyle approach can be seen in the following aphorism:

O Homem Goreano não vê a vida como um mistério a ser resolvido, mas como uma realidade a ser

Gorean Man does not see life as a mystery to be solved, but as a reality to be experienced. . They enjoy
what they can and endure what they must. He does not trust too much in what he cannot see, like the
crutch of religion, but treating the unknown and unknowable with a matter-of-fact and a direct approach.
Homens Goreanos raramente mentem. Até mesmo os maus. Eles fantasiam e criam cenários

Gorean Men rarely lie. Even the bad ones. They fantasize and create misleading scenarios, do not admit
their mistakes and even manipulate others for their own interests, but even these anti-heroes such as

Um aspecto relacionado com este é a forma como o Homem Goreano lida com as consequências dos
seus atos. O Homem Goreano, embora geralmente não seja supersticioso, parece ter uma certa crença
no "destino". Isto pode ser visto no sistema de Castas, que lhes conforta e previne toda a espécie de
desconforto econômico e do desespero que vemos na cultura ocidental da Terra. Mesmo nas piores
condições de trabalho das minas de Tharna e Klima, poucos protestavam contra os caprichos do
destino.
A related aspect of this is how the Gorean man deals with the consequences of their actions. The
Gorean man, although it is usually not superstitious, seems to have a certain belief in "fate." This can be

For a Gorean man, his Home Stone is everything. It is the air he breathes, the food he eats, it is his
pride, his sense of belonging. So, if a Gorean man lives under the aegis of a Home Stone, in a city
subject to wars, looting, pillaging, his honesty toward himself will tell him that it is natural that he - or
their loved ones - are naturally victims of kidnapping, enslaving and even death.

shows that the Gorean man understands and is satisfied with their lot. But that does not mean he is a

Hoje eu começo a minha exposição com uma citação – simples, curta, mas instigante – para que nós
possamos pensar sobre a visão do Homem Goreano em relação à mulher em geral.
Today I start my speech with a quote - simple, short but exciting - so that we can think about the Gorean
Man outlook towards women in general.

É uma crença comum entre os Goreanos, apesar de raramente verbalizada na presença de mulheres
livres, que homens são mestres e mulheres, escravas. Como se diz, todas as mulheres são escravas, com

O Homem Goreano acredita que toda mulher é uma escrava em potencial. Fato. Que toda mulher,
de alguma forma, carrega dentro de si a alma de uma escrava. Fato. Que, colocada sob uma situação
de escravidão, a mulher irá – de uma forma ou de outra – expressar essa alma escrava. Fato.
Gorean Man believes that every woman is a potential slave. Fact. Every woman, somehow carries within
hem the soul of a slave. Fact. That when placed under a state of slavery, women will – on one way or
another - express this slave soul. Fact.
O Homem Goreano está habituado à escravidão feminina. Ele convive com ela. Ele a aceita. Afinal, o
Homem Goreano está perfeitamente integrado à Ordem Natural. Ele sabe que o Homem nasceu para

Gorean Man is used to female slavery. He lives with it. He accepts it. After all, the Gorean Man is
