Carros criam energia mecânica através
da combustão. Este processo é ótimo
para fazer um carro se mover.
O motor desenvolve até 2.760ºC de calor dentro
da câmara de combustão. Calor suficiente para
fundir o motor completo em menos de trinta
minutos!
Aproximadamente 1/3 da energia do combustível
é convertida em potência utilizável para
impulsionar o veículo, 1/3 é dissipada através do
sistema de arrefecimento e o 1/3 remanescente é
jogado fora pelo sistema de escapamento.
As diferentes variações de climas, altitudes, locais
e condições das aplicações onde os motores têm
que funcionar, causam sensíveis alterações em
seu desempenho.
Um dos pontos mais delicados dos motores
atuais É a manutenção do funcionamento a uma
temperatura ideal, pelo maior tempo possível,
independentemente das exigências a que esteja
sendo submetido.
Esse é o trabalho executado pelo sistema de
arrefecimento.
 Função
Fazer o motor aquecer-se o mais rapidamente
possível, para atingir a temperatura ideal de
funcionamento, manter essa temperatura e
distribuí-la por todo o motor. Assim, o sistema
passou a ser chamado de Sistema de
arrefecimento.

O sistema usa um líquido de arrefecimento,
que é uma mistura de aditivo e água para
resfriar as peças do motor.
● Diminuição do ponto de congelamento;
● Ponto de ebulição elevado;
● Troca de calor eficiente;
● Protege os componentes contra a corrosão;
● Oferece proteção contra cavitação em certas aplicações;
● Protege as vedações, componentes de plástico e mangueiras
contra a degradação do elastômero.
Quais as diferenças?
Tecnologia de aditivos convencionais

É composto de aditivos inorgânicos, possui

baixíssima durabilidade (se comparado a
produtos mais modernos) e, quando ocorre a
degradação do produto, ele se torna altamente
corrosivo. Esta tecnologia está em desuso para
veículos mais novos.
